Crate 347's are usually around 400-450 HP at the crank.

Re: 347 cobra

Are you going with any power adders like a supercharger or turbo set up on it also?

Could run from 340 to 415 rwhp. All depends on what HCI or if you run a power adder. My 347 put down 409 rwhp naturally aspirated. Then with my pro charger let's just say a lot bikes are surprised now haha

What about a water methanol setup, how's that work? Or does it with a naturally aspirated motor? And does it add power?

Re: 347 cobra

I would go turbo if I did it all over again IMO.

I just bought methanol for my fox supercharged car but is not complete yet. I have it in my Callaway Z06 also, just be sure you keep the tank full at all time if you run this in your car. I dont know that for any other reason than everyone told me the same thing so it must be true not to run out for more reason than one.

Providing the motor with a longer stroke helps it get more out of each revolution... Making loads of torque, and of course boring it some gives it a larger displacement... Lil more horsepower

Fully built 347. AFR heads with a polish. Trickflow intakes with a polish. Custom cam I got made buy trick flow. And a pro charger 12-14 psi. Full MSD ignition. 373 gears. Dart block. Makes 650 rwhp.

Ah.....this is your way of proving that you haven't actually done any research on THAT car.

Sounds like a nice setup.

You've never seen a Cobra make more than 650?

Yea man. Lots of money and time spent on it. And personally no I haven't. I know there out there though. And as for your 347. I would also turbo if I were to donut all over again. Turbos make such ridiculous power

Re: 347 cobra

OP should do rods, pistons, stock crank, stock H/C/I, and an on3 turbo kit. It will be cost effective, and it'll easily make 500-800 HP depending on which turbo you go with and supporting mods.

How well does the aluminum block hold up though being blown or turbo charged, can't you only run so much boost or psi on them stock

You need to read more and type less.

Your block will hold more power than you could likely ever care to make.

Re: 347 cobra

I agree if you ever put enough power thru that block that it cant handel you will be doing a dub job as well as other major work also.
I think you would be fine just putting what you can afford into it for power adders and reall make some good power for sure.
