another window tint question

I was thinking about tinting my windows. In MA the legal limit is 35%. How dark is that? Should I go darker and if I do how much are the fines?
Also, since I have the defrosting lines on the back window can I tint the rear or will the heat from the defroster mess it up?

My side windows are 35%... but I'd do 35% front side, then 20% for the rest ( none on windshield obviously) would like 20% on the sides, but these keep the cops from noticing.

I have 15% on mine. Perfect. Love it. I've had my rear defrosters on and nothing has happened. I have a lifetime warranty and never get bothered about my window tint!

Is there anything between 20 and 35%? and how much do you think it's gonna cost me??

Don't think so... But I guess it depends in the shop. Someone might have 25%

Re: another window tint question

I would go with 20%. It's the perfect medium between the barely noticeable 35% and the damn near blackout look of 5%.

20% looks slightly lighter on darker cars...your red would probably make it look slightly lighter when driving by.

I have the full tint on my rear window with the defrost lines, I've had no issues...really depends on the quality of install.

I paid $200 a year ago for the sides (mains and quarters) and rear. Mine also came with a lifetime warranty.

Okay thanks. $200 is a good amount of money though. Plus if I do get fined by chance. What do the fines cost me haha?

I paid $150 at a dealership with a lifetime warrantee. Shop around. And the ticket will be well under a hundred... People barely ever get them if they have 20% or over, well, unless cops in your area are ******** about it

The place where I had it done said wait at least 3 days to roll the windows down so I waited a week...

You definitely want the film to cure and adhere properly.

3 days is what I was told too. it's a good investment! Cuz they look so much better with tint! Mine was right at $200: lifetime warranty at 15%. No tickets...knock on wood
