Mistaken Saleen identity

Just had an 8 year old kid walk up with his dad and ask if my GT is a Saleen!!! Even though my GT certainly IS NOT a Saleen it was refreshing to see such a young kid getting into domestic powerhouse cars instead of Imports & Rice Burners. He even had a Saleen cop car toy in his pocket which was the cause for the confusion. I told Dad that I might be able to swing a Saleen if I wanted my rent to be a car payment and didn't plan on ever living in or anywhere else.

That's awesome. I get the GT a lot or "dad! Look at that car!" love when that happens.

I think your's is a Matchbox car if it makes you feel any better?

F what people tell you. Your whip has to be one of the fastest I've seen. Maybe you should tell them to comment when you're blowin' their doors off with raw speed.

love seeing kids interested in American Muscle as well. My all time favorite was when i had my car at a benefit car show and a little boy came up and asked if he could take a pic with me and my car. like i was some kind of special person owning a mustang. lol. it was just too cute!

Im doing my best to make sure my son loves mustangs as much as me. Everywhere we go he points out the cool cars with the pony on them. He is only 5 so he doesnt quite understand the concept of car generations.

My son does the same thing. Everytime we are leaving the house he walks over to the stang. He gets a lttle fat lip poking out when we tell him we are taking mommy's car.

My friends Chris and Steve (they are twins and both have GTs) didn't believe that my car was a sixxer.

It sure is nice to hear about such a young kid having an interest in good old american muscle instead of those boring and annoying imports.

I just pound it into my sons head that mustangs are the best lol. All of his toy cars are mustangs and at this moment he is playing with his favorite, an RC 05' with 3Dcarbon decals.
