Is it just me?

I feel like when I'm driving on the road and see other mustangs, I feel like we are family. Another example: This dude at my school drives a camaro and I was trying to pull into the parking lot and he cut me off, but the guy in the Mustang behind him completely stopped the 15 car traffic behind him to let me in and I don't even know the guy. You just don't see that in other cars.

I understand you man. I always check out other mustangs when I see them on them on the road and check out what mods they have. You gotta respect other mustang owners.

It seems to be 50/50 but maybe because I'm a girl they don't even look lol or they look a lot. It's weird. Some other stang owners can be d-bags but most are pretty cool.

I always let other mustangs in or over if they need I've stopped traffic before too =) it's totally a respect thing for sure.. Heck just the other day I pulled out of Ford and this new Shelby drove by I pulled up next to him and we both rolled down our windows and sat there and talked at the light

I've noticed that mustangs and jeeps are a lot a like with the people in the community. Jeepers wave to each other, but I haven't experienced anything like that with my mustang yet.

Yeah see being in highschool 3/4 of the mustang drivers are girls, so around here most of the drivers don't care at all about my car and barely care about theres. But that 1/4 notice me and wave or flash their lights or something. Luckily we don't have many dbag mustangs round my area

Re: Is it just me?

I have been in northern Florida, Connecticut and Washington and the states in between those and I have noticed the mustang thing a lot. Letting them in, giving them a wave or talking to them at a gas station is almost instinct now and i haven't ran acrossed to many d-bags except one that was trying to antagonize me into racing but if it is just on the road I avoid it for the obvious reasons and the respect for one another......that and i didn't want to embarrass him infront of his little friends :p. But even with people I work with once you find out they drive a mustang there is a whole new realm of things to talk about with that person.

As for girls driving mustangs the hotness goes up two points with her behind the wheel of a pony

Re: Is it just me?

i think it should be like a family. but i know the person in the other mustang is thinkin "mine looks better" or "mines faster" but i do the same thing. so a competitive family.

Re: Is it just me?

Not too long ago I had something cool happen. Coming back from Myrtle Beach I formed a caravan of mustangs. A good 2 hours and 7 mustangs strong. Whenever we came up on another mustang they just fell in line and we all just kept cruising.

There are some d-bags out there though. The stuck up ego maniacs aren't really my cup of tea. I don't care if you have more money in your stang then I do, and some owner look down on you. Friendly competition is great, being a d**k isn't

Yeah! I notice that to. Classics notice classics. Like an old boss waved at my dad in his SS camaro. But I saw the same guy a few weeks later and he didn't even notice me. I feel like it's the newer guys/girls that are in the "family" imo

Re: Is it just me?

I guess the classics feel they are in their own realm. I have already contemplated keeping the 2011 stang as a proect car when i pay it off and keeping that until the end of time. Can you imagine a time when you can say full navigation and heated seats are old and belong in a classic car.

I appreciate other Mustang owners and I'm usually kind to all, I like to wave, let others go first, etc. But when I see a Mustang owner that has let their Pony go to ****, I just want to ring them up. Pony lovers need to take pride.

Ill disagree with that around here. My husband has a jeep and gets the jeep wave all the time. No one waves at each other mustangs that is. Wish they would..maybe I can get it going over here in Indiana!
