Would it be dumb?

My birthday us coming up and I was thinking of alot of upgrades I wanted to buy for my stang. It has 107K miles, I was just wondering if it would be dumb to start putting a ton of upgrades on it since it is considered a high mileage car?? Like would it hurt me in the long run?

No not at all, as long as the engine seems healthy, no smoke , noises , or lacking power , then mild upgrades would not affect the life of the engine

I wouldn't consider your car a "high mileage car"... I say, mod to your hearts content..

Really the only thing you shouldn't do is boost or nitrous... But for boltons and a tune you should be fine

Btw... Save the $200 from the tb... They don't do much unless you have a pretty powerful car. Try the windstar kit on VAPAUTO.com, it's $375 when you turn in your old throttle body. It includes a cold air intake too and increases power, it doesn't even require a tune.

Re: Would it be dumb?

depends on what you do, and the more you mod the more issues you have... just how it goes. You can generally do little things and be fine

They are right about "not wasting your money on a Throttle Body".

Eh, it made a huge difference in throttle response. Wouldn't say its a waste unless you don't plan on doing anything else to it

For a stock or just bolt on car, yes it is useless... If you've done HCI or something like that. Then yeah, it would help.
