Advice

Just bought my first fox body a 1989 mustang 5.0 GT. it's got gears and is bored .30 over. I wanna beef up the motor to make around 400hp but I'm 21 and not making crazy amount of money. I could use some advice. The dream would be stroker kit, heads, cam, intake, rebuild tranny then turbo. But why I really want right now is to get it in the low 12s. Just want a car that will shut all my friends and there turbo 4 bangers up. Advice on where to get parts, what kind of parts to get. Anything really. If you have any questions about the cars current state just ask. Thank you!!!

Power dont come cheap I got a 302 that's also bored .30 over with trickflow 170 heads which run $1300 for the set, 24lb injectors, street heat intake, 1.6 rockers, tf stage 2 cam, and a bunch of other stuff. Basically a whole new engine except the block and the rods. I'm only going to be about 320 on the ground if even that. I'm about to be 21 so just saving. Is it ur daily driver

Yea same for me I bought mine in march and it's still in the garage I never even drove it yet. I got about another month or two until im done. Your going to spend a couple thousand dollars to get it to go fast. H/c/I will really wake up the motor. Stock heads on the 5.0 suck. Just start with the basic stuff like cai, exhaust and do a tune up on it.. Wires plugs new rotor and cap

Already got a CAI it's got a BBK h pipe and I put flowmaster 50's on it. New wheels and tires. It's got MSD distributer NGK plugs MSD wires. So what I was thinking was heads, cam, intake and 150 shot of nitrous for the time being.

Summit and late model restoration. u can get some gt40 heads I hear that there better than stock and they won't hurt your wallet as bad I never had them. I know there's lots of threads for them nitrous is ok as long as u know how to install and use it right. Heads will make the biggest jump in power. A cam will bump up the power a little.. I guess u will be doing all the work yourself?
