I had a tranny issue. Ford replaced the tranny, no fuss involved.

Go buy it. Go now, don't wait. GO!!!!!

I have 2012 5.0, haven't had any issues. My advice get what you want as far as packages right there and then. It's a great car, loving every bit of it.

Re: Indecisive

Did you test drive one yet? Like i posted previously I have owned three previously to this one...a 2000 sixer an 03 gt an 07 gt and now the 11 gt and I can honestly tell you that the car only keeps getting better and you would be joining the club at just the right time. I haven't had a mechanical problem with any of these cars yet and I usually put a lot of miles on them. The transmission thing is something you really don't have to worry about because as your buying a new one it will be covered by the warranty...all the way down to the loaner car. I have 15,000 miles on mine and I am very critical of my transmission and i have no problems yet knock on wood.

Re: Indecisive

alright so the story with mine is a little of a long one. I found one that i liked about 200 miles away and i stopped at the local ford shop to give them a challenge of beating their deal since i like to support the local dealers first. So they tried showing me a gray one which i ruled out because their are a lot of gray and neutral colors out there already and I was wanting kono blue. Well they called me up later saying they just took in an 11 with 11,000 miles on it and in pres teen condition. So i came in the next day and it is black and had all the bells and whistles on it, navigation, heated seats full leather, dual power seats, vista roof, digital read out shifter, brembo brake and suspension package, hid lighting etc. So they showed me what the car went for brand new before i put my offer in and brand new was 42,000. I told them I would buy it for 32,000 so they counter offered at i got it for 32,500(found out later they were wanting 34,999 for it). Now for a new base premium model you can expect the msrp to be about 38,000 but rebates play a role and work it down to about 31,500 unless your military which would put u at 31,000 with the fact that there are 11s on the lot yet you might be able to leverage them down a little bit based on the fact we are into the 2012 season. I would suggest low balling them and say 29,000 or 30,000 out the door for a premium model assuming you are eligable for the rebates and that is not including your trade in value of your truck. If it is a base model you should be a shoe in at 29,000 but as long as you stay under 31,000 or 34,000 with all the bells and whistles you are getting a deal.

Re: Indecisive

find out where the rebates land you and as long as its under 33,000 your good but make them earn their pay check and offer 1500-2000 less then what they come across with make the salesmen use his legs to run back and forth with the floor manager

Re: Indecisive

I own one and have for about two weeks now. I purchased a 2011 V6 Prem. In Feb and traded it in two weeks ago for a 2012 5.0 same color, etc. It is a Prem with brembo brake package, MT, leather seats, comfort package, I wanted the rearview camera, but the one I was going to get sold as I was at the dealer (it was at another dealer) so the only one in black they had was without it. I love it and should have bought it instead of the V6 in Feb.

Is there anything specific you want to know?
