help!

So today I attempted to start my car an 00 v8 mustang gt. It started without hesitation, and then died. So after a few attempted starts. I gave it some gas. And she stayed running. And had no further problems. Until about 6 or 7 hrs later I returned to my car and now it seems to struggle to stay running...any idea what this could be??

Re: help!

my car did the same thing and it was the IAC sensor (also known as the idle bypass valve. Its the little round thing on the upper intake or near it (possibly on the throttle body) it controls the idle~ could be it.

You need to pick up a Chiltons or Haynes manual for your vehicle.
They will have the correct procedures and testing information that you will need.

My car did the same. My fuel pump went out. After it would hesitate and die it never started again.
But you can try cleaning your IAC its on your plenum.
