There's this kid in my auto class with a 240SX 'drift' car, he was saying that it's a turbo motor (although I saw no turbo on it when I was looking at it) but he's planning on putting nitrous in it, wouldn't that spin him out when he attempts to drift while using nitrous? D:

Is their any spooling when he drives? Best way to know of there is a turbo haha.

And not necessarily, a few formula drift drivers use NOS in their cars. I'm no expert, but I just guess it depends on how much and well you can handle the boost.

That kid is going to get himself killed, also I didn't hear the turbo when he was revving it really high, I hear it in my diesel truck more than on his little car.

That's different though. Just cuz you don't see it don't mean it's not there. And revving it maybe his exhaust covered the turbo sound. Most likely he's lying out his ***

He had open exhaust, no muffler or anything.

Some times turbos can be mounted underneath the car. It's not popular because there is a lot more lag, but it's possible, hell I've seen some turbos near the rear axle.

I saw no turbo under it either though, it was up on the lift for a few days too.

He lied then, reminds me of a guy I know with an integra. He said he got a turbo but doesn't want to pop his hood at any meets.

Except anyone that knows what a turbo sounds like will know you get the whistle and blow off from the actual turbo, not the exhaust lol

It's seems to me like that would be just a waste of money unless it's running a single cam KA and Just can't seem to kick the traction out but then again I wanna see a KA motor handle nitrous.

Got my 2014 sixxer about 2 1/2 months ago for my 18th I pay the note parents pay insurance! First 2 mods I'm looking to do are a Borla ATAK axle back and a gloss black Super Snake stripe, then later on when I can afford to add a CAI I will for the sound! However this stuff is expensive on a high school budget so all in good time!

Nope just a quick guess from other 2v dynos with fewer basic bolt ons. At tops 292 to 280 at least

Interesting. Most 2Vs need cams to reach the 300whp mark

We'll then maybe I'm closer to the 280 or 275 mark don't know I need to go get on a dyno

Most bolt-on 2Vs dyno in the 260-270 range. There are always factory freaks though.

Yes wheels, weight reduction from front end, weight transfer, had 4.10 gears and full basic bolt ons so lots of low end and a 6k launch.
