You're 16 man. I mean , I'm willing to accept that you've experienced a few things, but just take it down a peg. Some of us guys have paid for our wheels in blood. There are a few currently serving soldiers and sailors on here and even a few deployed men. I'm sure you realize how silly what you said sounds. Either way, at the end of the day, you have it good and that's great man; it really is. Word to the wise, though: You'll make more friends with a humble and good natured attitude than with a pompous and over confident one. Let's keep it about cars and get to running kid, you'll be doing lots of that when you enlist.

I didn't start this money thing, other people did, if you look at my other posts you can see I really am humble I don't bring anything up about money or anything but cars.

Yea you pretty much did. What Vintage Iron said was more of a general Rhetorical question.

Teenage owners

I'm currently in the military and am excited for anyone to join the service.

However you got your money, whatever hard work you did or did not go through, and anything you had to weather in life to get this far.. Man; that's great and be proud. Who cares what people say. Be happy.

Congrats on joining in the future!

Thank you my current work schedule is 4:00am wakeup, 5:00am crossfit, school 6:30am-3:00pm, track 3:10pm-6:10pm and then all homework after. I'm trying to get fit enough to become a Ranger in the Army. That's my goal and it's all I want so I'm willing to do anything to get it.

Okay can I be the first to say that this "I've been through more than you" / "no you haven't!" BS is totally worthless. And some of you need to stop feeding into it because you sound like you're throwing yourself one hell of a pity party.

Here's where MythlinMasterdo went wrong. No one wants to hear "I have (some *huge* amount of money) saved up for college (which I won't be attending)." I'm not going to compare my life to yours, because it would be comparing apples to oranges. But, for now, please do not say things like "my life has probably been rougher than ___'s" because you are only 16 and it's really hard to be the judge of how rough life is when you've lived so little of it.

And yes, VintageIron's question was rhetorical. He wasn't asking for a breakdown of your finances (the kiss of death when you talk about it over the internet).

And no hard feelings dude. Just be a little more considerate to the other people on here who were not in your position at your age.

How long did that take you? Im curious since you have to be 18 to open a brokerage account in the first place anyway and you're clearly in high school.

Some teenagers are "know it alls" and I was one of them. You just have to grow up and learn the hard way.

Indeed. I faced many lessons so far in my life, and i've learned from my mistakes. It just floors me how some kids can think they have it so rough, when they're presented everything they could ever need. Hell, if they think they've got it rough. They should have the opportunity to meet someone with a hard life. Stories of Ugandan teenagers watching their parents wither away from AIDS, and being left to care for their brothers and sisters. Then watching helplessly as they starve to death. But seriously, i'd love for these kids to tell me again how much they hate their parents for buying them the black iphone, instead of the white one.

Don't get me wrong, this is not pointed at any member here in particular; i would just like to point out that a growing percentage of 1st world teenagers are ungrateful turdstains. End of rant.

Oh. My. God. These last couple pages made me realize that as a 23 year old I am old... And apparently past the rift in the age groups between younger and older generation of this era. Wow.

It's pretty weird to think I used to post in this thread a lot when I was a teenager

Well Jet has been super busy lately with life and such. She's still pretty active on facebook though, even though she doesn't have the Mustang anymore.
