It's typically not as great as it sounds. When I used to live in Las Vegas, one of my friends' dad had a Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, and a Hummer H2 (why?), which seems like that's pretty great. But he neglected the **** of out of his kid and he had some social problems as a result. Obviously that isn't the case in a lot of situations; I know plenty of people with money that take care of their kids, etc. However, in my experience a lot of parents like that are "too busy" working or whatever else to actually take care of their kids and use money as a substitute for interaction. The point is this: don't lose sight of what you do have and great it is to have it.

True, but at a cost.

I'm not trying to be all preachy, but it's a personal pet peeve of mine when people assume "being a rich kid" is like the greatest thing ever and that it doesn't (a lot of times) have a negative side. They assume it's all sunshine and rainbows but don't realize that there can be huge downsides like depression, or just being a spoiled brat with no real friends. I'll shut up about it though now, since this tangent isn't really what the thread is about.

I go to a private college in the Bay Area. The amount of BMWs and Mercedes driven by college students amazes me. Too bad mine is soon to be the fastest one here lol

Heh. It might have been the same Ferrari I always see. I'm also in the Bay and there's a guy near me with a white convertible Ferrari that's constantly weaving through traffic!

Silver 355 convertible. Lady in the passenger seat also, the guy must've felt embarrassed.

Meh. Might have been silver. Especially if you're in the south bay (Mountain View/Sunnyvale/Cupertino). I usually only see it in the evenings.

Meh. I guess we have data that most people with Ferraris drive crazy then! There's a red one over here that meets the trend as well. Don't think I've seen a casual Ferrari driver in the bay yet!

Thanks man! My mom passed away and left me a little money. So, I decided that it would be worth it to buy basically my dream car. She loved manuals so even though they are not physically buying it, it's my 18th birthday present from my mom and dad.

Don't You Love all the snow we are starting to get here this week in Michigan? We have been lucky so are and I know it could be much worse, I still hate it. 4-6 degrees per day on top of it, screw that.

Absolutely terrible. I'm confident in my ability to control my mustang it's all the other people i worry about. However, I have to go back to school this Sunday and I'm a little nervous as there was a 90 car pile up on the freeway I'll be taking.

Yeah I just heard about that a couple hours ago, terrible. I have only driven my mustang a couple times in snow because I had to at the time, my daily was involved in an accident. It actually wasn't too bad, I had all season tires on the stock wheels at the time. Start in 2nd and take it easy it was completely fine. It was only about 6" of snow though.
