I'm 18 and I'm about to get a 2006 GT. I already put a deposit on the car and I just gotta wait until next week to get it. I just gotta ask you experts: is this the right choice? It has Hooker headers, magnaflow xpipe, coilovers, nice looking 20" rims with Nitto tires 275s in the back, short shifter, roush body kit, interior in mint condition, no no scratches anywhere, no dents, no rust, but it has 174,000 km (108,000 miles). Asking price: CAD $13,000

I'm no expert, but...
Thats a lot of kilos, but thats not a bad thing, necessarily. (depends how hard it was driven...)
I'd say the price is average & reasonable, for what you are getting.
I have seen stock GTs on the lots for up to $15k.
If you want it & can afford it, go ahead.
(i'd be more worried about the cost of gas haha) 🚗💨⛽️

How long do you think they last before things start to break down? The car is in really good condition and I can tell that the owner doesn't beat the crap out of it.

The car will last for a long time as long as it's been taken care of. It's hard to judge condition based off of pictures so it's gonna be a judgement call for you, but it should easily see 200k miles

Drive to Madison CT. A guy in my town has a 2005 mustang GT with 16,000 miles on it, supercharged for $16,000. A grown up too, not a kid beating on it. Click image for larger version

Well, just because it has low miles doesn't mean it was taken care of, or not driven hard.
100,000+ is getting kinda high

There is usually a correlation.
