Yeah you use the handheld for the dyno tune if I remember correctly. Bama will do Internet tunes for awhile until you get heavy mods on and then they recommend the dyno tune. The dyno guys upload the different tunes into the tuner and then into the car through the handheld.

Different places, different prices. Probably between 500-650 depending on how good it is

Understandable. But with cams and full exhaust it is mandatory and adds alot of hp where needed

My friend gained about 60+ HP out of his GT500 after a pulley swap and a dyno tune if that puts it in perspective. Put out about 540ish to the wheels. I don't remember any more since we did a blower swap like 8 months ago.

Hmmm so since i already have exhaust and some small things it'd be wise? Oh and ever simce i put the exhaust on my check engine lights on but its just for emissions. Do i have to swap out the o2's or how would i reset it for good?

It wouldn't hurt. Dyno tunes just help maximize what you have.

Is your cat OBD1 or OBD2?

What mods do you have? If your not too deep in mods you'll be fine not spending the extra cash and just get a handheld

Ok. A handheld tuner from American Muscle should be fine for now, once you start getting into some more serious upgrades then Bama will recommend getting a dyno tune.

Well now I know one... it's always better to work inside to out. So I would go cams. Then headers, followed by springs and struts and finished off with a tuner to pull it all together!
Both I do believe I don't have access to a dyno so I'm not positive

Just take a couple pics of your engine bay on both sides angled toward the block so we can see the sides and we can tell

Mkay I'm at school ill grab them when I get home. If you're looking to dye black give me specifics because you might have to bleach some parts before you paint.

Not the car people have trouble with. Its insuring a v8 on a teenager that costs a fortune.

Haha the price didn't matter. Parents just didn't want me in a v8. I could've gotten the same year v8 for only 14k but the power was out of the question
