I recently polished mine and man does it make a difference. I used this stuff

Amazon.com: Mothers 5101 Mag & Aluminum Polish Paste - 10 oz: Automotive. It is good stuff defenitly get the power cone it will make life much eaiser. I started by taking mine off the car and sprayed em down with wheel cleaner, then scrubbed the inside with coarse wire brush. I also used soap and water in addition to a soft rag to finish wiping about a days worth of work. But really worth the time invested.

Re: rim wax?

hmmm looks good! My rims are basically brand new so I probably won't need to clean them this time (Bought the car 2 weeks ago and got winter rims/tires on their about a week ago). I think I'll order some later this week

Re: rim wax?

depends on the finish of the rim, clearcoated, powdercoated, bare metal (what type of metal then)... in my case I am bare metal so I just have to polish with alum polish.

they make some crazy stuff that keeps dirt from sticking that you can try on a coated non bare metal wheel.

I don't know why I never thought about doing it before. I'm amazed at how well it works.
