Accident?

Anyone ever lost a precious Stang in an accident? Have pictures? Or am I the only one?

Lost an '05 V6 to an old lady turning through a red light but traded the wreck in for a better one. Took pics for insurance purposes but they were too sad to keep (and Im a pack rat).

Black '07 w/ ABS, had only been driving the red for like 18 months. Now trading the '07 for a '13 GT IF THEY EVER BUILD IT!

My 99 v6 was totaled last february when a lady in a semi ran a red light. Got the car from my dad as a 17th birthday present.

Oh man, even worse that it was a bday present.

My mother's ex had a rental one day and pulled over on a bridge to wait out a really bad ice storm. He said he looked in his rear view at one point and saw nothing but the word "MACK"....SMACK! The trucker was cool though and let him sit in his cab until the storm was over. The car was like an accordian, with the cabin lifted up, but still somehow driveable! He drove it back to the rental place and, on the accident report, there's a picture of the car where you're supposed to circle where the damage is. He just circled the whole car.

Thats crazy how he was able to drive the car. Was he okay? At least his trucker was cool. Till this day i still havent met or talked to the lady that hit us. She never showed up to court to top it all off.

Yeah, fine. No idea how he drove it. Im sure it had a rattle or two.

It amazes me the lack of responsibility among the masses today. Everyone just points fingers. Glad your mom is OK. Rehab sucks.

I wonder why they let him drive it. My house was like a minute away and i had to get it towed.

I know it pissed me off that she didnt want to take any responsibility for her actions. She claimed she had the green light. She was most likely texting or something.

This was a long time ago (I wanna say around 1980) and in TX no less, where they have no idea what to do in snow/ice. Maybe he didnt want to wait for tow. Not in our lives anymore so I cant ask.

Yeah, the old lady that hit me tried to claim the same thing. It WAS green, but like a minute before she turned. Maybe it took her that long for green to register? Dunno.

Wow that's an awful wreck (red car)! You are lucky to be alive.
I totaled my performance white V6 last summer- some idiot in a Camry ran a light and t-boned me- spun the car, knocked me out. Then got rid of all the witnesses while I was knocked out and started lying to the cops as soon as they got there. It was awful- I was so pissed- I had had that car for like 5 weeks when that happened. Sorry no pics... too depressing to keep them.

I am lucky! I slid on ice through a red light after work one night. A semi just happened to be coming the other way and clipped me. I was out for two weeks, over Christmas and New Years, missed 6 months of my senior year, had 9 months of therapy. Had to learn how to walk, write, shower, get dressed again. Everything.
I'm pretty freakin' blessed to be alive and back in a Stang!
