Keep it off the highway... They have areas you can rent or meet on the wknds and make top speed runs.. We've had a mustang club rent a local one out and just pay an entry fee to cover the paramedics to be present

Re: top speeds

120 or 125, but it was not a speed test or MPH test, I was just passing some traffic on HWY, when I looked down a speedo and saw that, I backed off, but I did notice I had more to give and a lot of gas pedal room to give also. I don't have an accurate number to give at this time, but the 125 was easy.

I normally drive the speed limit. Just the occasional blast for fun. Used to speed everywhere and my driving record showed for it.

I have gone 3 wide 60-140 on occasion with friends. Always have to test out the new mods.

When you have a car that does 117-120 in the quarter mile it's hard not to play

Funny you ask... It never went up about $120 a month full coverage through usaa... 1st one was 20 over, deferred sentence/doesn't go on record, 2nd was clocked at 16, he gave me 10 over so it never went on record. 20 over ticket was only $149...

160+ don't know exactly cause my tach only reads 160 and the needle was pegged and I still had pedal left so I kept easing it to the floor. But that was with stock 3.23's, I've got 3.73's now and haven't had a chance to top her out. Yet, lol!!!

My 98' V6- 120+ (speedo pegged)
Friends 01' Cobra- 160+ Oklahoma Highway Patrol clocked us @ 152mph..
My friend lost his license, $2000+ in lawyer fees, court costs ect. Lost license for 3 months, car impounded, 6 points on license, and now basically gets pulled over every time a cop gets behind him.

Dang when I got caught almost 30 over it would have been $330 plus 3 or 6 points. But the cop gave me a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt instead, even though I was, so the ticket was only $110 with no points

Yeah, don't do that on the streets. First crack you roll over you'll spin out and your car will split in half on the first tree it hits!

I've hit 105 in the mustang and it's smooth. No tickets thankfully. State Farm is waiting for me to get a ticket. Insurance is about $70-75 a month on the Mustang. Full coverage.

Yeah. The road we had closed down was a 4 lane ring road brand new. Buddy didn't have the balls to push past 160 so he rode shotgun. We were the fastest of the day. We clocked 213 or 217. Can't remember which.

I've been between 150-155 twice in the Mach 1. I've had my 06 up to 135 and let off once.
