I learned to shift gears when I was 5 on a Suzuki Trail Hopper, 50cc. Three down, three up, no clutch. Then switched to a 90cc bike when I was 10. First car was a '71 Super Beetle followed by a '74 Firebird.

Automatic was a 1990 something Buick roadmaster station wagon that someone cut the middle out of. No doors, seal belts, fenders. No exhaust or headers. Lots of fun.
Manual was my dads 1962 Ford Galaxie g code, 4 speed, tri power, full locking spool rear end, manual steering, manual brakes and a 406 pushing. The clutch was either in or out. No in between. Fun car.
