I don't think about Porsches very often, but I wouldn't mind driving a Porsche Carrera GT just for the sake of theater.

I learned on my friend'sold school Honda civic hatch back. Lol. I stalled so many times. And then 3 years later I bought my Shelby and stalled at a red light. I felt so embarrassed.

I stalled my GT a couple of times the first time I drove it home from the dealership. I was still fairly new to the manual at the time. Lots of honking behind me, so I started getting stressed when I didn't need to. Without realizing, I dropped the clutch, so when the stang got going, it got GOING.

Sigh... Good times, good times lol

Ugh, yeah, hills was the scariest part. I practiced on my driveway, which is pretty steep. Also drove up and down hills at 3am when there were barely any cars around. Even with the monumental amount of torque the car has, it still took me a while to be able to get into first without stalling. Then again, this is the first stick I've ever owned.

When it came to hills i just turned traction control off and told my wife just dump the clutch.. I rather waste a bit of tire then my clutch rubbing

Easiest way is to play around with it on a flat surface. Stall it a couple of times to learn where your pedal drops off at aka watch your tachometer and when you begin to see the revolitions start to decrease it is your threshold point. So slightly before that point, ease into the gas and try to keep a sturdy rpm.

Oh it is just a blast... try sitting in traffic on a hill with this set up :/

My friend may begin to build a 650 hp gt and were putting in 3.73 with a s3 clutch. He has never owned a standard but claims he can drive one. Since I work at discount tire, we pull in cars and I saw him pull in a gt and was jumping the **** out of it. I laughed and said "thought you could drive standard!" He claimed it was a racing clutch so I hopped in and it was softer than my new cadillac cts clutch haha. He is definitely in for a big suprise!

Dang. Lol. It definitely takes time to get use to it. Now that I'm use to my stick it feels weird driving a automatic.

Its hilarious when you and a few friends hop into a car and its automatic and your driving and you push in for the clutch and your like "what the heck? Where did it go?!" Haha

I have the Phantom Clutch Syndrome, too My left foot stomps on nothing lol What really feels weird in an auto is climbing hills without the need to play with the clutch and the gas :p

That, and leave your drinks in the cup holders without having to angle your arm while shifting.

Brother: "You goin' to McDonalds?"

Me: "Yeah, I'm gonna grab a burger."

Brother: "Mind pickin' up some Coke for me?"

Me: ****

Welcome to my world Also doesn't help that my elbow is almost pinned against the edge of my seat when my hand is on the shifter. It has to do with the way I adjust my seat, I guess. It's pretty far forward, but I don't have much of a choice; gotta reach the clutch if I want to car to move :p
