Whats the limit of street racing?

Was just wondering what or how is street racing defined by. What if hypothetically a car gets behind you and basically both of you go into a turn preety quick and the car behind you looses control and crashes.. This is hypothetically.

I wouldn't think so. Unless the hypothetical car infront brake checked them or something intentional.

Re: Whats the limit of street racing?

no, especially if the guy was behind you. it's always the guy behind you's fault. even if you were going 120 and then slammed the breaks and he hit you.

Well hypothetically both cars took the turn fast and the car behind lost control and totaled the cops can't say something right

A highly doubt it. It'll get him into more trouble and most likely jail time for racing since he crashed.

Like these guys. Im pretty sure both got jail time i think the guy in the mustang got 2-3 years and the camaro owner got like 6 months. But their situation was a little different

You should hypothetically just keep it on the track because keeping your car and license is better then hypothetically going to jail or dying.

I hypothetically lost my license and was so close to my mustang getting impounded in the middle of the desert but lucky i taught my girl how to drive stick the week before and she said she can drive it so they wont impound it...

All hypothetically though you know?

Yea well the hypothetically story goes like this. The car is behind you taligating you revving at you as to go and when the light turns green u go and the car behind you goes and stays tailgating you so u punch it into a left on a freeway ramp going about 60 and you make it but the car behind you doesn't and looses control and crashes. All this hypothetical

If you have a witness, say the driver behind you tells the police after the crash you were speeding in the turns, or a bystander tells the police. They can ticket you for "exhibition of speed". If the speed results in injury or death. The driver in better health can be arrested for manslaughter. Also remember property damage!

I was a LEO in the Bakersfield area.

Well he wasn't injured and there were no bystanders. We just both took the turn fast he just lost control

In this hypothetical example, you both took a hypothetical turn too fast. One of you hypothetically maintained control, while the other hypothetically crashed?

lol

Re: Whats the limit of street racing?

That is "careless driving". It's the cop's choice.
"so u punch it into a left on a freeway ramp going about 60 and you make it but the car behind you doesn't and looses control and crashes." This alone would be a valid ticket. I think you should hypothetically just keep your mouth shut and say the guy lost control.

If this hypothetical example were true, then it wouldn't have been your fault, you never hit him and this made up character is a dumb @$$. There is no reason for him to get mad at you, anyways imaginary people cant get mad.
