If Mustangs did not exist

If the Mustang was a big flop at the '64 auto show, and Ford decided not to put stangs into production, what would you be driving today?

Personally I would probably be in a F150 Lightning or a Raptor.

My Powerstroke would probably be my DD instead of my Mustang. And if Ford did not offer some other Pony/Muscle car, I would probably have an early 70's Chevelle or Nova.

Re: If Mustangs did not exist

Before I bought the Mustang, I was seriously considering a Mazdaspeed 3 or a WRX. So, probably one of those two.

This. The only reason I didn't get it was because it was a little out of my price range and 40,000 more miles than my mustang, damn near bought it though.

Shortly after I bought my Mustang, a local used car dealership put up a '72 Grand Torino for sale. It's in absolute mint condition. Had I not purchased the stang, I might be driving that. Ford should bring them back.

You should pick one up anyway. I was thinking about picking up a fox but I might look for a beat down GN or more doubtful a GNX. I don't see to many of them on the road anymore. It would be a find.

Yeah the SS is sweet. I liked that one better. The LS always reminded me of the Cadillac with that single headlight and grill.

My first muscle/sports car was a 77 Trans Am. Big 400 6.6 in it with all the decals and everything. It was a gas guzzling hunk of metal but I loved it.
