Why would anyone disrepect a legend?

On another thread some of us got way off topic. So I figured we should continue here.

The quote was "If Carroll Shelby didn't pass, I'd punch him in the face for a few of his creations"

I say where would the Mustang be today without him. He may have created a few flops, and made a few mistakes, but that is the how we learn. We should not disrepect a man for his mistakes. To me he is a hero and legend!

Just wondering how others feel about Carroll Shelby. RIP.

Shelby is one of the best things that ever happened to the Mustang. He was, is and always will be a legend. Anyone who doesn't know or believe that is as dumb as a box of hammers.
