t5 behind a'98 explorer 5.0L
Im having some trouble sorting out my options for running a t5 behind the explorer 5.0 I have. Ive been reading around and I cant really narrow down which route is best to take. Ive been reading about some guys running the harness and ecu from an sn95. Im just having trouble figuring out the odds and ends that I will need to complete the job if i go that route. Also, is it possible to send the ecm in and have all the characteristics of the auto erased and then run the t5 efficiently. I was talking to a guy at the local auto parts store about this and i cant really seem to wrap my head around this idea as it seems rather simple. I will continue to search around and see what I can come up with and make a write up when I figure out the route i want to go. I pulled the 5.0 out of the explorer for the heads and intake. This engine is going into a 1985 bmw e30, im building a pretty nasty street car that will definitely spend a fair amount of time at the track. The engine will receive many modifications down the road so thats something i need to take into consideration as well. Any ideas or advice you guys might have i would love to hear it.
