Here's a thought, what about an older Audi S4 v6 TT? Those things can be made to be very fast.

Not a bad idea, but won't those be expensive to mod since its Audi?

The G8 is a 4 door GTO. And yes, but not much more expensive than the STi to mod.

You won't get into a g8gxp for less than 35k for a decent one. They're unfortunately holding their value really well. They're awesome card but the suspension stuff is a little sissy. My buddy has one and has to replace both front A arms. Unfortunately they are forged aluminum (sweet) but run about 1800$ there are steel ones but they change the geometry a bit. Personally i would love one. If you are interested in them then you should also look into the cts-v. They're ****ing awesome too. But not quite as epic as the g8gxp which are a tiny bit faster in the quarter when my mach 1 was stock. Now it's a dead heat.

Yea I'm looking at them and they are a bit pricey but look good.

Their super light but again I'm looking for a car that has power already out of NA or a car that has already a blower or turbo. Looking at a 350 turbo z n seems like a good deal

for a daily driver you have to consider age vs price and try to pick something that is not going to start having issues regularly. Not an easy road for sure

the 03/04 cobras are great but are getting old (9 years sadly) they are still well build and if done right the engine is very strong in them. They will however have issues just like any other car, but for the price vs a comparative vette it would net you more hp/tq per dollar by FAR and upgrades are far cheaper and result in more power per dollar

for mine i upgraded catback, intake, tune, and smaller supercharger pulley = 100+ more rwhp/tq than the stock 360rwhp/tq

pick a car with good miles (10k a year = ok, see if you can do better) it will cost more but the car is much nicer that way vs high mile beat on car.

doing the math mine is at 60k miles or 6,700 a year. You can find low mileage terminators all day for 20-22k in great shape

Yea understandable, I'm staying away from vettes since poeple say its going to be very expensive to mod and maintain, cobras are at the top of my list and I'm not going to rush into buying one.

the one good thing about cobras are the platform is shared part wise on the GT and V6 so parts are easy to get other than the cobra specific. The market is big enough so the market specific are not that bad either, the 10th anniv parts are not cheap though

if you are looking for a terminator PM me and I will be happy to go over any thing specific etc etc, there are a few things to look for

If you don't mind flying out, there's a pretty badass Evo 8 for sale here. Really all you would need is a new dyno tune and you'd be golden. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3346833352.html

That car would eat ls2's and crap terminators at the track. 500hp on an awd car = nasty. And in my area i have yet to see an 03/04 cobra for less than 17k. Look up a few videos of john shepherd's talon on youtube and watch a high power awd launch, its ridiculous lol. Although, if i was offered a built evo or a stock terminator for the same price..... ford all day

Found a 03 cobra with 10 k miles in San Jose dealer. Type it in Craig's and you will see it, it's a white one bone stock
