Help Me Choose Out A Good First Car?

Hey guys, so here's the deal, I'm turning 16 in September. I've saved up close to $3000 plus my parents are gonna give me an extra grand to put towards a first car. I don't like Civics it's a very decent car but it's just not me. I really only like American made cars, and by cars I mean Trucks, S.U.V's, Muscle and some 4-doors. It's just what I like, nothing against Japanese made. In fact my mom drive's The new Toyota Camry, so yeah... Please don't suggest any Corolla's, Civic, Sentra, Cavalier's (I know it's American) or those sub-compact cars, I honestly don't care about MPG, I like V-8 engine's. Also I don't want anything older than 1999. I was thinking maybe a 1999- 2000 Mustang GT, I also like The Jeep Wrangler, 2003 Dodge Ram doesn't go for much either. Chevy Tahoe is a decent choice, I just don't know, my dream car has always been a Mustang GT, but it's so damn common, especially in high school. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Jeep's are great! They are reliable, and can handle anything you can throw at them The good part is that with 110,000 miles (they can last about 250-300,000 miles if you take care of it), it only costs about $4,500. I know that is about $500 over your limit, im sure that you could get your parents to throw some extra cash your way if you can find a deal. Here is the link:

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net
