Save the gas and the strain on such a small engine block. Although I am a bow tie fanatic, the mustang will smoke your *** no probs.
If you wanna beat the mustang, drop a 350 with an eldebrock sp2p manifold, running a 650cfm holly carb vent the hood and watch him wave in your rear veiw mirror.

lets see, a car that makes 240hp(the V6 mustang), or a car that makes 120 hp(the inline six nova). both cars weigh about the same, both cars are geared about the same, the mustang has one more gear in the trans(or is it two i forget). so you decide which one will win a race. any race. including a fuel economy race. i already know. the mustang will mop the pavement with the nova.

well i will not be as rude as the other people. your car can not beat the mustang sorry... your car weighs more, has less horsepower & torque. Also, your car is alot older and has lost a step or two over the years. It does not matter if the other person mustang is a 6 or 8 cylinder, you should not be able to beat it. sorry... but if you do race ask for a couple of lengths to make things more fair.

Haw Haw!!! Even the lowest motor on the mustang would beat you. But go ahead and try. You might get lucky

Straight 6 nova with the 250 at 98 horsepower????

You are brave..... ask for a 99 foot head start and race 100 feet you might get the mustang by an inch......
