Both GM and Ford have been improving rapidy. Ford's quality has gone way up. GM's vehicles have been getting much better reviews (they won car and truck of the year). And Chrysler... well they're just Chrysler.

It's not the Japanese cars getting worse, it's the American cars getting better. They have been really stepping things up.

I have a 01 Cadillac and a 06GM truck and a 02 Honda accord. Guess which one i drive all time? Its not the truck or the caddie either although they both drive like a dream but the gasoline millage sucks. when you beat the Honda for millage you have done something.

What's the deal with Japanese cars?

"Besides the $8 billion of debt, Ford is getting another $7 billion or so from a senior secured term bank loan and tapping the market for about $3 billion of debt or convertible notes" http://www.nbc4.com/money/10412339/detail.html

Ford had a loss of $284 million - http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/10/...iness/ford.php

if you want to check how great a car company is you check their quarter earning and ford is losing money every year. ford loss 1.9 billion in 2006. Toyota beat GM in car sales.

the fusion is better in those categories than the camry and accord but its does not say fuel efficiency. You have look at the pros and cons and not be so one sided. the 2007 Toyota Camry is the motor trend car of the year.

the taurus has been discontinued due to loss of profits.

i dont care about how pumped up you are about ford. ford seem to not care about what is most important right now which is mileage and fuel efficency and thats why they will continue to lose money. so what's the deal with japanese companies?
