My 2008 ranger is totaled, what to get now?

Hi, last year i got a really good deal on a ford ranger, it only had 5k miles on it and we paid $10,800 for it. They retail for 13-16k but last sunday my truck was parked in the street and my neighbor went 80 miles an hour into the front right side of the truck, twist the truck and bent the frame. It's totaled. Depending on what we get for the truck (anywhere from $10-16k) we are going to be looking for a new truck for me. I don't care if it's used but i won't buy a car with over 30k miles, lower miles the better. I really prefer a truck because if you saw the mustang and my ranger after the accident you would know why (lol).

Anyway the regular cab ranger was a bit small for me, I'm 6'1 and weigh 280 pounds, so i'm not a small guy. So i'm going to be looking for probably a full size truck, or an extended cab ranger or other truck in that class. What truck would you guys recommend? (you can also recommend cars but i really prefer trucks, or SUVs.

Let me know

Thanks,
Andrew

I would try staying with a smaller truck due to increases in gas that are probably on the way again. Nissan Frontier, Toyota Tacoma, Dodge Dakota. Suzuki has a rebranded version of the Frontier also that you could check out.
