2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE (V6) vs. 2003 Ford Mustang 3.8L (V6)...
Here's some info:
The Altima has an auto transmission and the Mustang is standard. Altima has 245 hp @ 5,800 rpm and Mustang has 193 hp @ 5,250 rpm. Altima has 246 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm (that's torque) and Mustang has 220 ft·lb @ 2,750 rpm. I'm not sure of the exact weights but the Altima is lighter. The driver of the Mustang is fairly experienced, not race-trained, but a good driver. Altima driver is estimated to be better but is driving auto so not much he/she can do besides gas it. Which car would likely win? Does the manual have an advantage? If so, will that advantage cause it to win? Consider any distance from 1/4 drag and up. What distance would give the Altima an advantage? What distance would give the Mustang an advantage? Serious feedback needed. No motherly advice please.
Where I got the info:
Both cars are currently bone stock. What modifications would give the Altima an advantage? What mods will give the Mustang an advantage?
