Is a foxbody GT mustang or a 2002-2004 mustang Gt's better?
Actually, all Mustang's from 1979 to 2004 were built on the same chassis, they are all "Fox-body" cars. The '94-'04 chassis was tweaked and stiffened up a bit so it handles better and has less flex than the older models. The mod motor's are more reliable imo than the old iron block 5.0's, but they lack bottom end power so it's a trade-off as far as I'm concerned. Also, the older 5.0L is easier to work on and there are tons of aftermarket parts available for them, and are generally cheaper to build than the 4.6L mod-motor. As for transmissions, my '04 GT has a Tremec (TR3650) 5 speed which is much better than the old T-5 top-loader that Ford used on earlier 5.0's. I've only owned and driven 5 and 6 speed manual transmission Mustangs, so I couldn't help you on the automatics, but the old AOD Fords were pretty decent.
