I don't know why you posted this here, when the sticky from a mod clearly states this is a tech forum section only...and for mustangs at that.

BUT, I love those rims, they are sexy.

Edit: Would like to add that is one hell of a car. N/A and faster around the track than their FI ZL1. Has some really cool things too it.

I thought my front tires at 285 were huge, but that sucker is running 305 on all four corners.

Quote:
The engine, again, is of course the monstrous heart of this amalgamation of Camaro bits and pieces – here you’ve got your hand-assembled 7.0L (427 cid) V-8 made from top-end parts as follows:

• Titanium intake valves and connecting rods, and sodium-filled exhaust valves
• CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads
• Forged-steel crankshaft and main bearing caps
• High-lift camshaft
• Hydroformed exhaust headers
• 11.0:1 compression ratio, and a 7,000 rpm redline.
• 10.5-quart, dry-sump oiling system
I may hate chevy and won't buy their cars, but that is impressive. Interested to see what Ford does to counter this.

They didn't update the engine at all, they are just using the old Z06 engine. The LS7

Yep. They are acting like it is some big break through doing this...lol.

The only amazing thing on that car are the rims and wheel sizes.

Any body got the price on this thing. I really hope ford does something big for the mustang. Yes it is a vette motor but now its in a camaro. I just hate the fact that the camaro may have an upper hand on us..

I get what ya mean, but how bad *** would it be if ford put in a NA 5.8 or 6.2 into a mustang... I'm sure we'd all be drooling over it lol

6.2 would be a 374. A 390 would be a 6.5 if you round up. If you want to be technically correct and 100% accurate. The 429 would be a 7.1 liter.

What would be cool is if Ford just simply put the BOSS motor in all the GTs as the base V8!..

So you just want a coyote engine with forged internals?

I'm not claiming to be any GM fan but I would like to know what drugs the OP Is taking to say this looks like a Honda prelude. Someone is seriously hitting the pipe big time to make that comparison.

I think it's a pretty badass car. I'm not a huge fan of the new front but I do think the back is improved a bit. Curious how much this thing will cost. I love all this competition though. Might be a tough choice next year between keeping my 12 or upgrading to something new. Still waiting to see the 15..

Bro, that is bad a$$ Camaro. Price, more than SS but less than LT1. My guess is base 45k. I do love the competition.

Yeah, I was thinking around there. More then I would pay for one. It'll be nice next year not having a car payment. Not sure if I'd want to start that over again tbh..

Yes. But don't forget the the Intake Mani and the 20+HP that also comes with it!.. Lol. Think how cool that would be if Ford did that in the 2015 GT and yet kept the price the same!..

We are in a War People!.. A new Pony Car War!.. Ford needs to retaliate against this new Z28!..

Yeah I guess I was thinking of the parts that would be more costly to add which would be forged internals. They would never make the "Boss" manifold stock for all GTs but they could maybe do an improved mani for the GT line would be cool and an easy way to pull more power out of the car.

Only thing is you really only hit that power jump revving her past the red line.

Oh, the pony wars have never been stronger, however I think GM is foolish for the this Z28 along with the Lt1. I have not seen but maybe 1 Lt1 in the past year. I would love to know how many Lt1 units GM has actually sold in the past 2012 year. Can't be that many. GM was foolish to make such a high performance vehicle such as Lt1 when they have the Corvette.

As for the Z28 , its awesome but GM has totally gotten away from what the Camaro was and really is. Its the poor mans Corvette. Its the fast, sporty car that the average Joe could afford. When you start making vehicles that base 42 k and above your getting away from that average Joe concept. That's what the mustang and Camaro is. I'm all about a 500 HP car but in order to sell high volumes of these cars you have to keep the price down for the average person. The average person is whose buying the 150k yearly mustang units. The average person is buying the 150k plus Camaro units.

I don't think GM will sell that many z28 units. GM will continue success with the base and SS models because one can have them for under 35k. Thats more of the average Joe price.

The guy who can afford 60 to 70k sports car and GM fan is buying a Corvette over the Camaro. Why, because its a CORVETTE. Its the name.

Regardless of what side you are on, there are also a lot of people, specially the ones with money, who refuse to buy GM anything because of them taking the bail out money. That was a huge push for me to support Ford was them being offered it and denying it and making a comeback on their own.

+10000000.

Same with Chrysler. I actual liked the looks of the Challenger, but refused to even test drive it. Ford IS the only American car company that will get my money because of the bailouts.

Totally agree with you. I'm not a GM fan and would not buy one. GM has been great for Ford because it does keep the power wars going and Ford on their toes.
