Truck opinions

I'm in the market for a new truck, have been for a few months but can't make up my mind after a thousand test drives and research. I'm torn between a 13 ram 1500 big horn or Laramie and a 13 f150 fx4 or lariat. It will be off roading to camp sites ect but nothing like what a raptor would be doing. I'm looking for any of you who have had a 2010 or up of these two and what you love and hate. Thanks

Ford, I love the look of dodge rams but I've heard nothing but issues about them.

I haven't heard of any major issues as of late but the ecoboost has HUGE problems so it would be the 5.0 if I get the f150

I'm not sure what your budget is but if you could I would try to find a raptor. Although it might be a little hard to find a used one that's not ragged out.

Raptor would be cool but it would never be used for what a raptor is designed for.

My parents own a 2012 5.0 platinum and they love it. I've driven it a number of times and the only complaint I have about the whole truck is that the platinum comes with too much chrome on it lol. It also averages 17-18mpg on the highway, which isn't bad.

I like chrome lol I love the looks of the f150. Ram has a better interior to me as well as the seats are more comfortable. Power wise I honestly don't feel a difference between the two (5.0 & 5.7) the numbers say otherwise but i cant tell so it won't be a factor in my final decision.

I sure wish you could test cars and trucks for a week before purchasing lol

Gas or diesel, your going to get an excellent truck from dodge, chevy, ford, or toyota. That being said, the hemi in the dodge pretty much makes you feel like your going fast....when your not really going fast...lol. Ecoboost is a friggin monster, fast, and pulls like a diesel. 5.0 is pretty good too

My buddys dodge had holes in the seat at 16 months and there is no way they are more comfortable than my Ford.

Perhaps not for you. But my bodybuilder body type needs bigger seats at the back and upper leg area and no f150 fits me well enough. Rams are for fat guys lol even though I'm far from fat. What year ford truck do you have? I can make the f150 seats fit me better by taking them apart and putting a little different material in the sides like iv done with my mustang (not a dd) and my wife's Lexus.

Both the Tundra and Tacoma are great trucks. My friend just bought a new Tacoma and loves it.

I had an 08 tundra and it was great for a street driven truck but off road I felt it was gonna fall apart lol not a off road truck at all when it's stock. Had it for 3 years.

I would go with a ford f150. The 5.0 and the ecoboost 3.5 are both good engines and run great. Another good engine to consider would be the 3.7 v6. I've driven that one and its got some power behind it and can tow pretty well
