Going for a test drive on the dark side

I'm going to test drive a Challenger R/T today. I would only buy one with the six speed and I think my car right now would out run it off the line just not after the line. My thoughts are to get one sometime and keep the miles low and keep it stock (not exhaust) What are your guys thought on the Challengers compared to the new edges?

I like the though of having a low mileage car with a warranty

Before I do anything I will check out the Mustangs but I think I want something that is comfortable and nice to cruse in. Plus the Challengers look F'n mean!

I would do it in a heartbeat. I love my New Edge but those heavy tanks are nice.

I think they are? Idk. I stumbled across this after looking up some Superbird pics. Saw FF6 last week and couldn't get it out of my head. Classic showstopper!

Go for it, my buddy has one (check my pictures) and they are beautiful cars. Are they big heavy cars like everybody says here, Yes. Can it keep up with my mustang, No. But they ride real nice and are very comfortable. If I had the money and the room for one there would be an R/T on my driveway.

I at least want my boats to be water worthy. It is a big, slow heavy car. Secretary at work has an r/t and loves it. She's 53.

You could also get a newer V6 or GT mustang instead of the boat.

Well I love the looks the ride and the noise but I know for a fact my car could kill it off the line but at high way speeds it would out run mine. Wednesday I'm going to test drive a camaro and mustang and see what I think.

My last car was a 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4. I traded it for the Mustang at 80,000 miles because I could not stand the rattles anymore. It was a great car in the beginning but, I did not feel like it held up like it should have.

YMMV.

Thats something I'm also looking at is down the road. Dodge has 5year 100k warranty wich is really good but the question is will it turn to **** once that runs out. I know I want a new car. I'm finished buying used..

Get a used car, but one with super low miles, that way someone already took the price drop for you.

Yah on stock gears the challenger will pry out run a 5 speed stock mustang. It all depends on the drivers though, one missed shift and its all over.

Well the more I think about it the more I want to get one, I'm still going to test drive a mustang and Camaro (stupid 1SS packages are hard to find) I'm pretty much decided that I don't want leather, it just turns to junk after a few years and cloth will last longer as long as you don't burn it (I don't smoke)

+1000. VERY DRASTICALLY...I will never buy anything with dodges name on it again because of that...And the 5 year 100K mile warranty is only powertrain. Unless they have changed that this year or something. So correct me if I am wrong
