2004 Mach 1 or 2005-2008 GT?

Looking to buy another mustang. I'm really interested in the 2004 mach 1 azure blue but I have also debated whether I should look Into a 05-08 gt Instead. Which one is faster? Aren't they both rated at 305 hp?

It all depends on the condition, which ever is in better condition I would choose that.

So now that I'm lookin for a mach what are the biggest differences compared to the 99 cobra? I have jlt cai, bassani exhaust, short throw shifter, 4.3 gears, sct tuner. What about handling? I know the mach has sra which I hear is better for track but I don't do track. Will I miss the feeling of the IRS? Also what about when I accelerate is the feeling I being thrown back the same in the mach as well?

I guess im the odd ball on this thread but id take the 05+ GT. They are really comfortable and i love the retro style interior, seems like theres more mods for them too but maybe im wrong. Idk i personally am not a huge fan of the new edge body (sorry guys)

Same here, mostly sixxers. I guess the 05-09 gt are pretty common too...id actually probably get the mach 1 just because its a mach. If it was the gt or a cobra id get the gt though

Machs are more rare, mach is a 4v and they honestly sound godly. Nothing taken away from the 3v gt but I like the 4v sound better

Keep in mind the 5spd Mach 1's have the forged crank from the 03/04 cobra platform. The cast rods are the weak aspect but still solid enough for 450-500rwhp.

Just an FYI if you plan on heavily modding your next stang.

Also look into compression ratios...the 3v is slightly lower at 9:8:1 compared to the Mach 4V's 10:1:1. So the 3v in stock form is better for FI, but the Mach is a better N/A platform...not to mention how nasty they sound when they rock some lumpy cams.
