Engine warm up?

I was wondering if it was bad to start your car up and like take off right than in there or is it wetter to let the car start up sometimes. My cobra doesn't ride as good if I start up and go am I doing something wrong?

Just give it a minute or two to warm up. Got to get that oil pumping haha. At least wait till you're at operating temp before you drive it hard.

Unless youre in Germany...where it is illegal to let your car idle... the cabs here even shut off if stopped for more than 10 seconds or if it is dropped from gear to neutral.

Yeah, i had the polizei called on me for leaving my car idling for 30 seconds to run in and grab a water and pay for it. I got away with a warning because i pulled the "stupid american" card.

I usually let it warm up for 1-2 min. And really you can't let you're car idle in London? Crazy

Anything after 1 minute is a waste of fuel. Let the oil circulate through the motor. Then take it easy for like 5-10 minutes to get the oil to operating temp. Don't go by your thermostat because the water will heat up quicker than the oil.

The 4v is higher revving engine which at all isn't as bad as it seems.
