When i did a carfax, it only showed number of owners, and what repairs were performed and when they repaired it. No owners names or phone numbers.

Looks like a tree jumped out in front of someone. Some dates would be helpful in determinng the amount of damage done to your car.

I can give you a pretty good idea. Cobra right? Do you have an idea what that car may have been worth in 2007? If not, what would it be worth today if it had a clean title?

Ok. Lets say a 8 year old Cobra was worth 11000. Insurance companies will generally total a vehicle if the damage is more than 80% of the vehicles book value. Using those numbers, that is around 9000, or more, in damage. Using my imagination, that is a pretty good bump. Obviously, someone was able to repair it, so it wasn't mangled beyond recognition but my guess is that the owner was probably happier with the insurance settlement than having the car fixed. Unless the person who is selling the car has pictures to show you, its anybody's guess with a salvage title. Typically, the later in a cars life that the accident occurs, the less damage it will take to total it. You've been trying to do something with this car for a while now Brandon, have you learned anything about salvage title cars? Other than for maybe a racecar or something like that, would you buy another one?

Thanks been at work all day. I've learned to not put more money than you have to into a salvage title unless your keeping it. I didn't think I'd get raped by it but I made someone a lot of money and I'm the one to take the hit. But yeah we did an car wash claim o my gfs 04 gt because it peeled small pieces of paint and it totalled out to be 2700 in damages. No scratches on car or anything. We got the money. So I've been trying to find who rebuilt it so I can get pictures and make sure everything was replaced good. It's a good car and hasn't let me down but if I knew I was gonna sell it I wouldn't have paid so much for it. As for another one unless I was going to keep it than I will have to think about it. I can sell the car right now for 5500 and I think that's the best I can do. It's tough cause I traded my 2700 v6 and paid 5500 cash for this than put a 1500 trans in it. But I guess it's my choices so I have to pay the price :/ ill still keep looking for who rebuilt it. Maybe I can find out something

Yeah. You get it. If you like the car, and it drives good and everything, thats all that really matters. A Cobra is a nice car. Keep it, drive it and enjoy it. That is the only way that you get your monies worth out of ANY car. As far as resale value, the longer that you hang on to the car, the less that salvage title will matter...
