Drove a 350 nismo last night...DISAPOINTED

So last night I drive my friends 350 nismo and honestly I'm not shure if I'm used to my car or what but the speed and power were seriously lacking for a 30,000 car. I expected some get up and go like my sang but nope I launched it and gased it all the way getting on the freeway... I do have to give props on the cornering tho. Taking corners was like cutting butter with a hot knife...anyone else driven one of these

350z mismo was an 07-08 model them being the fastest versions which is aero, interior, brakes, wheels and other stuff. Power is 300 crank but they make up for it in weight. And 30k for one?? Who was trying to rip you off lol

True but I think the op meant for a car that was 30k when new he was not impressed and lacked power.

Well an 07-08 nismo was a competitor vs the gt when they came out. Nissan also had the gtr vs the shelby a year later

Stock for stock it's a drivers race in the 1/4 mile. In the twisties and turns well we know the mustang doesn't handle well

Oh yeah the cornering is defiantly the nismos strong suit...that's what is was built for...I wonder how a Laguna seca would be against a nismo on the corners

Yeah. My last car (95' sc400) was originally a 40-50k car. And I drove it up until last year. Times have changed. I'm sure back in 95' that car was a beast with luxury written all over it.

Don't sell the Mustang short on the cornering guys, out at the auto-x track last weekend I beat a 2004 Nismo by half a second both of us on street tires. Granted the 2008 Nismo turned in over 2 seconds better than me but he was also running on Hoosier A6's so that was as predicted. A properly set up Mustang is competitive in the twisties with a LOT of cars that people wouldn't expect at all.

Bruce Grigg's 98 Cobra will out perform supercars on the road courses. All in how deep your pockets are.
