Now that I'm here in the Southbay, I'm really only seeing Crown Vics and Chargers. I'll occasionally see Explorers, but that isn't that common.

However, when I was in Albuquerque, NM I saw a police Super Snake and Corvette at a DUI checkpoint. I asked them why they had those cars and they said they get all kinds of cool cars from drug-related confiscations. They even had some snippy comment vinyled on to that effect.

Little rock, ar has a zr1 cop car, Impala undercover cars, and Dodge Charger undercover cars, mostly suv's or crown Vic's for city police.

I am just north of DC in Montgomery Co MD. The marked cars in my county are Chargers but the ones you have to watch out for are the unmarked SUVs, pickup trucks and mini vans. I've also seen a couple of unmarked late model Impalas. Sure my car could probably outrun any of them but the roads are so congested there would be nowhere to go. Speed traps are a money making business in my county which is why I drive like grandma, my car is already a police magnet lol.
