Went to a car show and the ride was police escorted, I was last in line and got separated from the group because a guy tipped his motorcycle and we stopped to help. The cop was in the new charger, he got behind me and honked so I slowed down. My friend said "I think he wants you to speed up" so I sped up a little. He honked again. So I dropped to 3rd and hit 130 miles an hour with a cop in my rear view (made a very funny video). We got to our destination and he came up to me and shook my hand and said "we need faster police cars, you pulled away from me pretty easy" made my day!

Well, it seems that most of the boys in blue, here in CA, are holding on to their aging Crown Vics.
But, I have seen the California Highway Patrol, in Northern California, are beginning to use Ford Explorers as cruisers.

Everything that I own will easily outrun a Explorer...

I'm also at 320 to the wheels. With the 4.30 gears. It's pretty quick for what it is

Yes. That's correct. For the stock specs. My car has a built t-45 tranny, built rear end, 4.30 gears, bassani exhaust, cold air intake, dyno tune, bilsteen shocks, aluminum drive shaft, 03-04 cobra wheels, steeda tri ax shifter. It is indeed faster than a charger. Trust me. I've raced them many times. What you're looking at is 320 to the crank. That's the stock motor. My car on the other hand is 320 to the wheels. Big difference.

I'm not mad. It's just the fact I was there and I did out run him. No my car is not stock. But, I paid 10k for it. For the amount I paid for it and the amount a stock charger costs is just stupid expensive for very little performance. And like she said. My car is 15 years old. But yet it still pulled away from a charger.

It was not. The early production for the 99 models had to have the recall. Mine was a late production model and came out of the factory already fixed! So it never had to be recalled

I doubt many law enforcement agencies are buying the SRT8, Kraft...
More like V6s.
And, as stated, THEY ARE HEAVY...

It's not that hard to outrun a camaro. They have big numbers. Including their weight. I really don't think you understand. 4.30 gears... Nuff said. So many people don't get what that does. It makes it accelerate very very hard. It ran a better time than a terminator. Mostly stock terminator. But it still did.

I can't honestly say. I've never had one behind me. But, my car is WAY too distinctive to try to outrun them.

you must live in a small town Fader. I checked your profile your car looks like a stock 05 GT... not very " distinctive " as you say

Exactly. Also keep in mind the 4v revs a lot higher!
