If I were to get rid of the Bullitt it would have to be for something else special, so either a Termi, Mach 1, Saleen, Roush ect..... Or maybe a 370z Nismo, I like those also.

If money was no problem, I would get a 12-14 Shelby or a 04 saleen cobra.. (Very rare)

Had I not just put in an offer on a house, I would be seriously considering trading my Mustang in on a 2015 SRT8 Challenger.

The 370's are nice. My brother in law has a g37 with a vortech blower on it. Makes 404 to the tires. Fun little DD.

The new Mustang will handle real nice with the loss in weight and IRS. I think the 4 banger will handle better than both V6 & V8. With forged bottom end you should easily get 400+ to the tires with no problem with little money. that is if you can boost up the stock turbo. And being around 400lbs lighter than the GT. It will be smoking fast around the track.

I already traded mine. I actually went for something of less value and completely different. Traded in my 2012 GT for a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. That was always my dream rig, and once I saw one for sale with low miles and in great shape, I couldn't pass it up.

I don't know. I still have the performance parts from that I took off it before I traded it in (h-pipe, cat deletes, CAI, bama programmer). I have been trying to sell them, but if I don't I might just keep them in case I get another one down the line.

I miss some parts of it, but not others. But for at least the foreseeable future I don't think I will be getting one again any time soon.

Hi Fully Automatic

This is funny to me:

Got rid of this:

After getting this:

I have a friend that sold his Porsche after buying his Boss 302 Mustang. He likes the Mustang for tracking better then he did his 911. Way cheaper to maintain, Tires last longer, Just as fast but more fun to drive then his 911 was.

How much is a Boss 302? roughly $40,000 am I close?
The Cayman is roughly the same with about 30,000 Kms
I have not driven a BOSS.. however I can say the mid engine Cayman S
handles amazingly ..
I plan to keep my new edge since its paid for! and build it over time.
But for that amount of money .. we are looking more at The Cayman S, or maybe save a bit of money and pick up a BMW 135i M twin turbo for around 25-30k..
We were looking at newer Camaro's checked out a Challenger and a Mitsubishi EVO..

How did you find the maintenance Ronnie?.. The Cayman is mid engine so a bit harder to get at then the rear engine but .. plugs, cops, fluid changes,belt,alternator... is this stuff I can do at home or is it going to have to be dealer serviced?

Your are looking at very expensive cars to maintain.

Just hope you never ever need a trip to the dealer for anything. You can change your oil but will need to go to a dealer to get the light on the dash reset.
I can't say I do not like Porsche's and Beemers but I sure don't want to own one. Way out of my ability to maintain them properly.

Here is Jack at Atlanta Motorsports park He just passed a couple of Porsche's with his Boss 302. He tracks this car and also it is his daily driver. You can see it parked at his office just about every day.

Try one out

My last car was a John Cooper Works Mini Cooper 2009 made by BMW with a German manufactured engine and Transmission. It was a really great fast good handling car that would cook a Porsche around Daytona through the infield. The big problem with it was when the warranty ran out it cost a Mortgage if it needed to ever get repaired. Every single part on a German car is costly and un-affordable. I was lucky and got a great trade value on my Mustang. I was stopping tracking anyway so I got the V6 and could not be happier.
I now joined the Daytona Mustang Club as well as a Muscle car club. With the JCW I did belong to the Audi club.
The Mustang is a lot of fun to show or drive. It is affordable, has Cheap insurance, excellent MPG and has plenty of good usable street power.
Jacks Boss 302 is just plain """FUN"" and fast and handles perfect. It is affordable and although his is a Laguna seca it does have a trunk that will actually hold something. If I were you, I would look into a Boss 302 and if you don't like it you can always pick up a German Money Pit.

Thing is the car would be my GFs.. she is the one looking to buy a nice new/newer car... however by the sounds of it... seems like her new car would be my new headache lol given something major ever happens.

I also plan to look for my future car soon and I will keep my eye open for a Boss!.. but for her.. I highly doubt she would be interested lol although she did climb inside a Camaro zL1 but couldn't see anything and thinks its to large of a car... . any recommendations of cars that may be suitable for her that I can take her to look at?

We looked at a Mitsubishi EVO but unfortunately the car didn't even impress her enough to want a test drive lool silly girl ( in my head I was sad )

There is only one I can think of and I am not sure I would actually make the trade... A 2014 GT500, basically equipped similar to the GT I have... Love my Roush S2, but a GT500 was what I really wanted... Maybe?

+1, if were talking ideal rides if would have to be an 01 or 02 so its has the LS6 intake. And either a black WS6 or firehawk or a huger orange SS. I used to have a 2000 Trans Am and if there is one car I regret selling that would be it. Sadly you cant find reasonable priced F bodies anymore unless they have been beat or modded to hell.

The only other car would be a C5 Z06 in Electric Blue Metallic

This is a very hard question for me because I like my mustang way to much to even think of getting rid of her.

Ronnie

That is one nice looking V6!

Well under 150k, I guess no F FF for me.

Honestly, nothing is as sweet as a ride for the price as a Mustang. Sure there are some Cars that are better value, like the Velositer or Mirage- but they are nowhere near our cars, or their purpose. The Camaro and challengers and hyundais are all more money, worse cars, and underperform (for the comparable models).

Equal trade? Nothing...I just traded a car I bought a year ago for my Mustang and there is nothing I'd want to be driving more. But if I go outside my means then I would trade my current GT for a 13 or 14 GT 500 without hesitation. For equal value however, nothing comes to mind.

Right, that's an even trade...lol. I personally wouldn't even want to even trade that. The cost for gas, insurance, and tires is so absurd.
