Thinking about getting into a mustang

Hey all,

Recently I came across a mustang with a pretty hefty build. It's an 02 gt premium with sunroof and 61k miles. The build has 10k and he has receipts. Obviously I would get compression tested and etc but could someone tell me what they think of this build and what they think it's worth? Any and all info would be great thanks

I'd try to get it in the 10-13k range. It looks clean from that pic but I would have a performance shop go over it with a fine tooth comb.

This.

Whenever you buy a modified vehicle always beware. Find a very good local performance shop that knows what they are doing and take it in. The last thing you want to do is buy this car and find out it is actually a POS. Never fully trust someone who is selling you something. They will always try and make it seem better than it really is.

I have bought and sold many a car in my life, from basic cars to modified cars and I would never ask to, nor ever let anyone take my car anywhere.

After doing it a few times, you get people that completely waste your time.

Want a warranty, go to a dealer. Sold as is. No offense to anyone who buys cars in the aforementioned manner.

Don't get me wrong. I have bought and sold many myself (I am on my 17th vehicle right now), most without taking them somewhere, but if you are going to buy a highly modified one, I believe that is a different story. I bought a modified 3000GT VR4 without taking it somewhere and less than 100 miles later the turbos blew. It is just a word of advice, you can take it or leave it.

I'd walk away for one reason. Sunroof. No such thing as a factory sunroof in sn95. It will leak and has compromised structural integrity. Add power to that and it's just a massive headache

Sent from my massive johnson.

Excellent point. Cutting into the car like that can weaken it. Add power and you have a broken turd.
