NIce, I'm liking the blue one.

However, the *** end of these cars is still horrible.

I love these cars. Yes, I prefer the four round tail lights of the C6, but the C7 Z06 is still my all-time favorite car. That blue one is really nice. I want...

That's it. I'm buying one after college. IDGAF what it costs me.

I didn't like it at all when it first came out, but now I love it. Actually starting to like it more than the C6, especially with the Z06 ground effects.

A regular c7. These are not even out yet.

I talked to the guys driving them. They were weird about me taking pictures at first. They are all the big wigs from Chevrolet. They are doing the final road test on these cars, b4 they are released in December.

This was at the hotel, I saw them when they pulled in late last night. Then right when the sun came up I got outside to take pics, and they were getting back on the road.

Yeah, it's my dream car. I will own a C7 Z06 with the Z07 aero package... some day.

Replace the TVS blower with a twin screw (Whipple) and tune out/remove all the active fuel management and emissions crap.

Some day...

This, this is exactly what I would do... but you forgot 1 thing. 7 speed manual transmission.

For the C7Z I would personally probably get the 8 speed auto with paddles, if I'm spending that much on a car that is great for the track I will want to be winning. I can bang gears all day long in the Mustang for enjoyment.

Oh yeah, forgot to specify I wanted the manual transmission. I thought that was just implied or understood, given that I'm a dude.

Not saying that automatics are for women... yes I am. Who am I kidding? We all know automatic transmissions are for women and children.

Until you lose to one because you can't shift as fast as they can....

When you are racing a car that can eat tarmac as fast as the new C7Z you almost NEED paddle shifters. If you are buying the car to bang gears, that's fine, but that's not why I'd buy one. I'd be putting that ***** around the track on a regular basis. I don't want to be encumbered with a manual as I try to go as fast as humanly possible.

I used to think that manuals were for men and only disses drove automatics. Then I bought a manual car. Which I love. But there are certain cars I'd just rather have with a "flappy paddle gearbox", and a C7Z is one of them.

Also this is most definitely going to be the next car that I purchase. Who knows when that will be, I'm very fresh into my career and I very comfortably bought my new 5.0 just a month ago. It may only be a few years before I bring in enough cash annually to "morally" justify the car, or it may be closer to the life of the mustang as it nears 100k miles. Plus I need at LEAST two years to be able to justify how much I'll spend in insurance for the Vette (currently 23).

Personally, I'd go with an auto in the C7Z for several reasons.

To tell the truth, I don't care which transmission it had in it... I would be happy with either.

The manual would be fun every day, every drive. The auto would be the winning ticket on the track, for sure.

I would track that car as much as possible, but most of my driving would still be off the track. So I would prefer the manual.

If you are in a manual transmission car and you get beat by a child or a woman driving a car with an automatic, it just gives you an incentive to get better. Still fun slamming through the gears.

At least they caught it before it was a problem on the street. Fixing a mistake before it's a big mistake shows good judgement on GM's part. I still want one more than anything else on the road.

That's very true. I was just surprised (Not really) that they had to recall them that early...

These days, a bowtie recall should never surprise you.

They're looking pretty mean-Shoot those over to Jalopnik, I'm sure they'd love to get a look. Some can be definitely be iffy about this. I know from personal experience. (Apples to Oranges) but when Subaru was changing body styles in '08 I caught a prototype in Lancaster Pa of all places. They were definitely sketched out. I mean if you're going to drive the car around completely naked like this they're going to have to assume that a car guy is going to spot it!
