Well, any 302 Windsor parts will work for it. But, like any 302 Windsor (excluding the BOSS), you are limited to what can be done before outrunning the structural integrity of the block.

If you want to add power, just overhaul the engine you have. New bearings and piston rings. ARP rod bolts and head studs and main bolts. New oil pump and water pump. Add an oil cooler. And get a blow-through carb with a Vortech supercharger.

There is really no point in building a 302 on a factory block. So don't waste your money on forged internals or a turbo. You don't need aftermarket heads or any of that jazz. Just a Vortech and be done.

It will give you a reliable and fun 400hp at the wheels. If you want more, then it's time for a 4-bolt block.

Let me check about the glass, I will get back to you.

Would a 351 be a better building platform?

Yes, the 351 would be a better choice for building power.

If you wouldn't consider it blasphemy, I would say that an LS motor would be better yet.

Not unless it was swapped in. The 4-bolt BOSS only existed in 1969-'71, if I remember correctly. I'm sorry I don't know casting numbers for the block or the 4v closed chamber Cleveland heads, and you will have to excuse my laziness because I am not going to look it up right now. Pretty sure Google will tell you the casting numbers in about 12 seconds, though. Then you just have to go check your block and heads.

It would be F!cking sweet if you had a legit BOSS motor, though.
