Fastest Car You've driven

Before I got my mustang, I had never driven a real performance oriented car, so my almost stock 1999 mustang GT with a manual and it seems so fast. I know its only got 260 flywheel hp, and 300 ft/lbs of torque, but it feels really fast to me because I haven't ever driven a car like it. Did you guys start out with mustangs or did you get to taste horsepower before them? People like to say the 4.6 2vs aren't fast, but I have plenty of fun driving it. Is it less fun if you've had more power before?

The fastest car I have driven was my cousins 1990 ZR1 Corvette.

I've driven cars with over 1000 rwhp, it's a life changing experience for sure. I have owned several vehicles in the 300 - 450 whp range and a few with a bit more than that and honestly, you can have more day to day fun with a car that puts down 250 - 350 whp than a 500+ whp car.

It's just more fun to be able to drive a car at 9/10 - 10/10 on the street in short bursts and be able to get away with it, whereas a car with 500+ on the street can at times, be a bit much.

Fastest I've driven was a 650whp GT500, other than that I've been stuck with my GT and the occasional chance to drive my buddies 330whp Evo X.

Stock 2003 Corvette........ so far. With the money i've put into suspension into my Bullitt if i would have put it into the motor instead then this probably would have been the fastest.

Fastest car In a parking lot would be a z06 that a couple years ago had the record for fastest nitrous vette at the Texas mile. On an open road would be a Ferrari f430. Would like to drive some faster cars if anyone wants to hand over the keys!

Non street-legal, race-only Dodge Viper. I didn't drive it, I was a passenger. I honestly don't know the spec's on the car, but I was a little freaked by how fast that car can take a corner, (closed course).

That's a badass ride right there. I got to ride in my buddies 410awhp Evo 8 and that thing was nuts when I got into boost, I can't imagine what 500awhp would feel like

1975 Trans Am with the 455 SD (Super Duty). That car got me quickly off of my moms insurance policy, which then led to me having to sell it.

Fastest I've driven is a tuned 5.0 from a dealership. Wasn't getting paid nearly as much at the time and really didn't need that much power either, so I ended up in my 3.7L. Still more than happy with my quick lil sixxer. Fastest I've riden in though, is my buddy's APR tuned Golf R. 500hp and 500ft/lbs to all 4 wheels. Beastly little hatchback haha.

kinda embarrassed to say it was just a Brembo equipped GT. I'll back what someone else said about seeming fast was my old Triumph Spitfire. You would be going insane speeds and look and it was only 70 mph. It's cool how semi-slow can seem real fast but in my Stang 85 seems slow.

Quickest was an old Karmann Ghia. It ran 6 second 1/8 mile times. Big VW engine and the car only weighed 1000 pounds.

Mine was my dads 1968 firebird convertible 400 (375hp) turbo 350. Back in 1992 it would give the bolt on only foxbodies hell. Lol. To bad your T/A wasn't a 70-72 455SD could've felt some extra torque and hp

2009 ZR1 stock. If I was a Corvette fan, I would want this car. So much power. You floor it and zero tire spin in all gears and look at the heads-up display and you are doing 140mph. Super fast car.

Id love to own one of those. Any 1998 or newer corvette would be mine if I found one in my price range. Im not a brand loyalist. or anything. As long as its V8, RWD, manual transmission, and reliable, I am a fan. doesn't even have to be very fast. If my old grand marquis had a 5 speed id probably still have it lol
