Hitting low 1.90s today, going to go fill up the Expy since we're going to Maryland on Sunday. This **** used to cost me like $50 to take a trip down there. Now with the truck getting a little better mileage from the tune up and gas being so cheap it'll be $25 woot.

Woot. And once the lie-o-meter gets used to the tune up and new tires that number should jump to 450+per tank.

I don't think that anyone doesn't believe that the price of fuel will rise again...

Yep. It looks like congress is going to use this opportunity to push through a federal tax hike on the price of fuel.
I suppose that I don't mind too much because our transportation infrastructure can use a "facelift". I do have two major concerns though:
1. They need to ensure the taxpayers that the extra tax revenue will be used solely to repair the roads, bridges, etc. Nothing else!
2.There needs to be a provision to rescind the tax in the event of quickly escalating oil prices, so that the high fuel prices dont send the economy spiralling into another recession.

We have the highest state tax on fuel here in CA at 39.5 cents per gallon. We also have the worst roads in the entire country. That tax money is supposed to be used for repairing the infrastructure but instead, it goes into the state general fund and is used for whatever the lawmakers want to use it for.
This is the problem with taxes. If the people, who are our rulers, have the extra money, they will always find a way to spend it and the tax will never go away. In fact, they will ask for more and more.

Frankly, I'd rather see the money go to Rap so that he can buy some gold plated nitrous bottles or something...

Lmao, I just like busting yalls balls.

Idk about the gold plated stuff, I'm a white boy not into the " bling" stuff.

Now carbon fiber would be nice

It doesn't fluctuate as much but if you pay attention when gas is rising diesel eventually stops and gets surpassed in price by gas.

Yea and we all know the money for those roads would go to the nicer areas IF they actually put it toward the roads.

it seems that the roads that are ok they go and mess them up, while the roads i live and drive on around the neighborhood are more holy than a catholic priest.
