Considering horsepowerkings.com is the only site that is reporting this and this just seems highly unlikely.. That site is said to have really bad malware too.. Ford just made their turbo 4cyl in the 2015, it seems to me that will calm all the "economic hippys" for the time being... Without a v8 there is no muscle cars.. V6's are honestly just not truly a muscle car... Muscle cars are nothing without America and America is nothing without muscle cars!

Various sources have been predicting the demise of the V8 going all the way back to the mid to late 70s when the gas crisis/shortages happened. I think the resulting improvements in efficiency has actually caused them to thrive instead.

I don't foresee the auto companies getting rid of v8 engines anytime soon, even with more stringent mpg requirements. Each new generation gets slightly better and more efficient.

Horsepowerkings is to the auto industry what Natural News is to the food industry. However, if true... get your Coyotes while they are hot. Although the 3.5L Eco is probably going to better in every single way.

Except for the number of cylinders... which to some people, the extra 2 cylinders are the equivalent of their balls.

If that's what they need to compensate...

And the sound, boosted v6s just don't sound as good. My modded T-bird SC would destroy my Mustang, but sounded like a raspy vacuum cleaner.

True. I prefer the sound of a V8.

Yes Ford just dumped lots and lots of money into engineering the Voodoo engine so it can be dropped in 2 years. Lol give me a break

You seem to think Ford intends to put it in the regular run of the mill GT.

Let them phase them out. They will have to take mine out of my cold dead hands. Oh wait, yeah, I'll die with the V8 I have too.

I don't think they will put it in the GT. But they're not going to put it in one car for two years and then stop making it. It wouldn't make any sense. Besides we already know this was a BS article posted by one website anyways
