I'm surprised they let him. If it was an SCCA event they probably would have ejected him right away, surprised he got passed tech.

No, it wasn't a SCCA event. The Palm Springs Corvette Club holds a Auto x event in a parking lot down here once a yr. He is one of the guys that helps set up the event. So he can pretty much do what he wants.

Yep. The automakers, and the aftermarket, get their "latest technology", mostly, from WW2 aircraft.

Here's a Grumman F6F Hellcat. It was powered by a 2000 hp, 18 cylinder, radial engine. The induction was via a two stage, two speed, centrifugal supercharger, through a carburetor.

By the way, the Hellcat is credited with shooting down more enemy aircraft than any other type of allied aircraft in World War Two.

A turbo you can have different sizes for the lag, and use boost controllers so you can run a larger waste gate spring and still make smaller power. Can also use multiple turbos. The possibilities are endless.

Don't get me wrong turbochargers are badass. I love turbos. But they like any other poweradder has its downfall. They need a lot of tlc, and give off a lot of heat. Not to count all the fabrication involved and fitment. I've seen more people destroy their motors with turbos than any other power adder from my experience.

Yup I've heard that the Corvette club events can be a bit unruly lol

And for nitrous systems there are progressive nitrous controllers or pulse controllers. You can have it set up not to be so harsh on the initial hit and progressively get stronger as the rpm and or gears get higher. Or whatever you set them to. Meaning you could spray a 200shot but the initial hit would be set at say 75 then progressively pulse up to a 200shot.

Siick! That's what I said earlier the best way to go is all motor if possible but few people have 100k to drop on a motor alone lol.

Hell cat

If I were to build a drag car then I'd probably go nitrous.

But I love road racing so it's high rpm NA or turbo for me.

I would to that's understood and stands to reason. I just prefer drag racing. If I was into carving corners etc which is fun, I'd have a different power adder for sure.

Lol good luck you'd be better off looking for a Roush Yates Sprint cup motor. Or just sell your home and tow a trailer behind

Did anyone see the video from a hellcat owner about the 7 rules of ownership? I guess a lot of people that drive them don't understand how to properly set them up hence why a lot of them lose.

Some 4 cylinder cars are fast as hell so they better watch which ones they pick on lol, as far as modded ones go anyways.

I have a 335i.... So no I respect many cars. But don't make a car out to seem what it's not. The only advantage The Sti and Evo's have is there awd
