Hell cat

Hope Ford comes out with something to compete with that hellcat. A lot of dodge guys at work saying mustangs ain't **** lol to a hellcat. I call them hell kittens and laugh at them. Ford needs to produce a high hp stang to get back on top of the record list.

I told them to go get one and line up with me and I'll smoke them in a car less than 16 grand.

If they did line up with you in a Hellcat, you would get crushed.

Sorry, your car might be able to crack into the 11's. With the mods you listed and the 150 shot, you're putting down maybe 430 - 450 whp on the high end? That's enough for maybe an 11.8 @ 115 - 117 MPH which fits perfectly into the bolt on coyote / cammed LS1 Fbody cars.

You do realize that the official record for the Hellcat stands at 10.48 @ 133 MPH. Also, on the streets, the Hellcats have been pulling on C7 Z06's and other cars that trap well into the 120's.

Your car should get crushed.

Hellcats are heavier. And do some research before hand. Jayc on modded mustang forum runs 10.9 in the quarter mile has same mods as me except minus the ported heads with same 4.6. Haven't seen or heard what your talking about of the hell kitten. And for 60,000 plus dollars it better do that haha. Your right it should but probly wouldn't.

A car that traps 111 NA and only traps 119 with a 150 shot, is a slow car.

Trap speed means ditto if other car gets to the finish line first. So you have a bunch of slow cars than? Where do you live would love to run that camaro.

Trap speeds shows if your car is actually fast or not. In this instance, it's not.

Whatever you say. A car that costs 60+ and runs 7 to 9 tens a second faster than a 16k car isn't impressive I don't care what trap speed it runs. Then anything can happen on both ends traction issues driver error etc. All plays a part. And I can drive.

I wouldn't mined having a hellcat. The car has so much potential. It's what Dodge needed to get back in the game with Ford and Chevy.

I love that about the car. It's basically a sleeper with a few badges to hint at what it is. And the face lift looks great. As usual the weight sucks and if it weight as much as a 14 gt that thing would be a demon. A few flaws in its production; dodge doesn't seem to get that 707hp needs more than 275s in the back. Basically they only things holding it back are the weight and tires.

Now your talkin, a Dodge Demon or a Cuda with much less weight I could dig! Challenger's look great, but till this "Hellcat" were too slow even for NASCAR, they are there but not winning.

They should create and new platform for it and the cuda that's rumored to make a return. There using the previous charger platform for the challengers. Come on! It's a muscle car not a sedan. Start treating like one dodge. Though the new chargers are badass dodge ruined them. It was born an iconic muscle car and they brought it back a family sedan. Really? Which I think everyone should bring back all their good cars. Chevelles, novas, torinos, fairlanes, galaxies, Falcons, demons, coronets, and bring back olds, Pontiac, Plymouth, Mercury, AMC. All the muscles deserve a second chance.

I like the hellcat more than the Shelby; well the 10-14 shelby. I think the 07-09 shelbys look good. But to each his own I suppose. Then again I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that 5.8 for my mustang.

The hellcat is a one trick pony. GM and Ford are both pulling away from drag racing and going into corners. Dodge is the only one still focusing on brute power in a straight line. Because from what I've seen it's not that hard for most cars half the price of the hellcat to beat it in corners.

A real test of skill and car ability is an open track like Laguna Seca, good places for pure acceleration and then corners to test the suspension and the driver.

Supposedly the scat pack challenger is their road course car. But when they decide to make a track focused car (hope they do) on the challenger platform it'll be the T/A.

They would also need to drop serious weight if they want to make a track focused car.

That's true I'd love to see dodge right up there with the rest of the gang, but it seems dodge has lost their competitiveness they had in the 60s and 70s.
