2016 Honda Civic Type R on the 'Ring

Honda Says A Civic Type R Prototype Destroyed The FWD Nürburgring Record

The car ran a 7:50.63.

To put that into perspective .. a C5 Z06 runs it in 7:56 (I'm positive it can do it faster), a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 runs a 7:52, a 2008 Nissan GTR ran a 7:54, a Ferrari 599 GTB ran a 7:47 and a BMW M3 GTS (4.0 V8) ran a 7:48.

Very impressive for wrong wheel drive. It does have Vtech though..

I highly doubt that was the production version... automakers have been known to introduce their new "production" car to the 'Ring to put up a show .... nowadays its just a pissing contest

It looks unstable as hell going through those corners. No way in hell would i drive a wrong wheel drive car on the ring.

RWD or AWD are the only cars I will own.

No FWD, it's ridiculous.

That's a pretty good time. It's hard to imagine a Honda not suffering from brake fade after that much time.

I have been thinking about those times since I got word of that via email. Yes the times are impressive but like mustangz I really only like a AWD or RWD. I would rather own a highly flammable Hell Cat or Corvette.... Yest nothing would be more fun on that track to me than a Terminator.

I think for the price, it's still pretty impressive.
