TGR's garage/car shows and events...

Yes it would, but I'm not a big fan of the wheels. I like the spoke wheels better.

He actually got his second third generation Camaro painted, a few weeks ago. It's also a convertible. We did exhaust work on it too.

09 Boxster S. Came in for an oil change and an inspection. Nothing to report. Car drives very well, and brakes are excellent. Exhaust note is better than I expected, but it's an S model so a little more aggressive exhaust is normal. Plus I like the 935 set up. Steering wheel felt nice and leather was soft and top quality. Car shift nice and smooth; it didn't act like some 911's I've driven where you needed to rev a little higher to shift. Handling is great, and it complements the power of the engine. It could use a turbo though. Nice car.
I'll post part two of that Mercedes AMG hopefully tonight.

any real difficulty to changing oil in one of these? I read they don't even have a dip stick. I admit to lusting after a Cayman...the ones of this vintage have one of the most attractive rear ends on ANYTHING I've seen.

No it's not difficult now. It absolutely sucked the first time but we've done them enough to know how to do it. And a cayman is a nice piece. I'm very eager to hear so more detailed reviews about the GT4. Chris Harris did an excellent review on them, which is to be expected, it's Chris Harris after all. We have a Audi S5 at the shop currently. I'll get some photos up on it. The owner's father is my neighbor and I get see the car often. They let me drive it and I loved it. Maybe one day.

08 S5 Quattro. Came in for a battery replacement. So the car is a V8 6spd manual AWD coupe. That's basically plus after plus after plus, you get the idea, in my book. Its on the list of cars I'd love to own in the future. It has an excellent exhaust note for a factory system. Car drives very smooth and it's easy to drive. But it can get a little exciting when you start developing a lead foot and big up some courage. It handles incredibly well for the weight of the V8 and AWD set up. Brakes need to be upgraded to 4 pistons ASAP. I like the interior color and design, with high quality leather, brushed aluminum , and I'm a fan of the flat gray gauge faces. Interior is comfortable and spacious for someone of my height (6'3). I find its a little difficult to find a decent performance car with plenty of leg room and head room at the same time. The doors are a little big in my opinion but the body design is just lovely. Wheels are excellent, in terms of looks and no need/desire to change them. They could be a little wider, though. I would be very interested in seeing how this car would preform with a supercharger set up. Given there would be modifications needed to support it. Like the hood would need to be changed or the engine lowered. The latter I don't think is possible. Speaking of engine, I thought my V6 was cramped in the engine bay, but this one good God. An excellent car to say the least.

My 3000 post. 😊

The Roush Extremes are on the car and sound completely awesome. I got the sound I wanted and more. Definitely recommended if you're searching for an axle back set up. The car is louder, deeper, and a lot more aggressive sounding than the stock Roush axle backs. Which they already sound good to begin with. I just wanted it to be a little louder. Very happy with the results.

TGR's garage/car shows and events...

So, I went to a show today, that I didn't know was happening. I got the mustang there, then ran home and got the Porsche and the Impala. It was a nice turnout for the weather conditions. I got some pictures of the some of the cars there. Many more arrived later, but I wasn't able to get photos of them.

Not a bad day. Met up with friends and handed out a few business cards. Met someone who just moved here from Missouri, and he was looking for a car shop for maintenance. Well he found one.

And here is the deadliest guest I've seen at the shop. This is the second time I've seen one in person, first time for a live one. Kinda gave me chills.

TGR's garage/car shows and events...

We have brown recluse out the @$$ here. But very rare to find a black widow here. Judging by the size difference between the two I've seen this a young.

Yeah she looks pretty darn small. Hard to tell when they are balled up like that. Brown recluses are quite the interesting specimen as well. One of the few spiders around here you can hear running lol

TGR's garage/car shows and events...

I see them daily. We used to store Mobil 1 oil boxes in our barn. We take them to work and open them. Normally you'd see at least one in there. Most was 7 in one box.

No thank you on the spiders. One nice thing about michigan is that we dont have too many creepy crawly things.

82 Mercedes 300 D. Car came in for brakes and a fuel issue. If I remember correctly we replaced rear pads and rotors plus a rear caliper. Fuel issues was fixed but I don't remember the cause. It's in excellent shape as seen. I'd rate it in the same category with the 83 Accord posted about earlier. Nice car.

Im the mitten about an hour north of the nuclear waste land better known as Detroit. The other shape thing is the upper peninsula, and that may as well be another state, lol. People are a little different "up" there.

76 Nova. Came in for an exhaust repair. I talked to the owner, really cool guy, he's had quite a few muscle cars. So, this Nova has factory air, and quite a lot of other options. It has round 70,XXX original miles. Body is very strait and car idles nice and smooth. Also has a cam, nice loopy sound with flowmasters. Nice piece.

I guess I've always overlooked these "gills" on these cars; because it's the first time I've noticed them. Might be an option? I don't know. I don't see too many Novas of this year so I'm kinda iffy on what they had.
Forgot to mention its a 350 and auto on the column.
