10 328I. Came in for an oil change last week. Car came in earlier today because check engine light came on. It's a manual trans with a light cream interior. I like the wheels a lot and I've never really seen them before. Unfortunately, an oil change doesn't require a treat drive. I'd like to see how it compared to my old 99 M3. It's a dark purple just like mine was. Nice piece.

Yep the head is off and I'll probably be taking it to the machine shop tomorrow. Anyway the owner likes the truck so we're fixing it. Literally the weakest truck I've ever driven. Honestly I think my 90hp MG is faster than this truck. But there's a few cars that are back that I've posted before.
Haven't been very active on the thread; having some personal/family issues at the time. Leave it at that.

Well found out the head is toast on the f150. And the engine is most likely toast as well. So news on that later on. I've got two cars I'll be posting about later tonight. Both very nice cars.

77 Thunderbird. Came in with issues regarding the radiator. After some tests we found out the radiator was bad. So, it should be getting the radiator installed tomorrow. It's a really nice car. The body is pretty strait and the interior is nice too. It has the normal driver seat ware and rest of the interior is in excellent shape. Paint is also very nice and it runs great, besides the radiator issue. And it's BIG car. Built like a tank and not that far off in size. Nice car.

Well, went to get a car today and our wrecker decided it didn't want the car. So we lost controls to the roll back and winch. At the very instant the car is on the roll back and we were pulling the roll back up. So, luckily we were right next to this.

It's a 14. So, while we were waiting for a response from the boss, we checked out the car. Failed to mention a coworker tagged along with me. Judging by the way the exhaust tips looked; it saw "enthusiastic driving" often. Very nice car and it looks great in silver. I can't wait to drive one, one day. Just thought I'd share it with you guys.
Plus, the C7s are growing on me.

Yes, they are. They've always been that way. And it's worthy rival, the viper, is a force to be reckoned with. Looking forward to the ZR-1 or Zora's return.

04 GTO. Came in for an exhaust repair. It's a 6 speed with an upgraded shifter. From what I can tell that's the only modification done to the car. I've never seen the grey gauge cluster before. I've only seen the red ones. If this a add on or stock I don't know. But it looks nice either way. Nice car.

15 Challenger SXT Plus. Owner just came in to make a payment on a bill for another car. I have to say that I'd rock it even if it is a 6 banger. Slap some twins on it and have one nasty sleeper. I'm a sucker for the Challengers so they always get a 👍. The graphics look very good on the silver paint, and the wheels are just stunning. Very nice car.

04 Lightning. Owner came to pick another car at the shop. He'll be back with the truck for some exhaust work. He also owns a 06 GTO that he wants to bring in for some diagnostics. It's a very good looking truck. I really like the wheels on them and the front end looks great. Wish they came out with a dual side exhaust option. Truck has minor mods, I didn't really asked what they were, just admired the truck. Plus this is the only supercharged Lightning in my area. So it was a treat to see it up close. Really cool truck.

TGR's garage/car shows and events...

The guy the has it came by to get a few parts for it today. The car is completely under primer and might be ready by middle of next month. I'll try to run out there this weekend and get a few pictures.
The Impala and the Roush are getting cleaned tomorrow for the car shows Saturday. Hopeful the charging issue on the Impala will be diagnosed and fixed tomorrow. If not the Roush will be going to both shows and the Impala will be going to one.

I want to go see it too. Haven't had time go in a while. There's been some private issues that have been coming up over the past month. Plus he's about 30 miles out of town.

Update Challenger restoration.
Well it's been a while since I've been out to see the car. I must say it has come a long way, but it still has a long way to go. Anyway I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

one of my favorite threads....

I had a rental V6 Chally for a week and compared to my V6 Stang I made the right call. It was a great hwy cruiser but that was about it. I do admit to liking the keyless system and HVAC controls on it but since I picked the base model Stang that isn't a fair comparo. Changing lanes made me feel like an old person, I would put the blinker on, count to three and move over, If I heard a horn I knew someone was in that lane. The blind spot on the right side was as big as a panel van.

Ever since the quater window louvers install on the Roush, I have a terrible blind spot. Basically flip the blinker on and pray that they are paying attention.

95 XJ-S convertible. Car came in for an A/C compressor swap. After the swap was done the controls weren't working in the cabin. So we checked everything and determined it wasn't the fuse, but wire related. We had to take out most of the dash/console. It's fixed and waiting for the owner to pick it up. It has a very drag race like shifter in it. Having to pull left to get out of park and then down to neutral. Then right to the forward gears. Each gear (forward, reverse, neutral, park) is very stiff. Very interesting that Jaguar made it this way. It's also a L6 with a huge body. One would figure it's "big brother," the V12 variant, with be more suited for the large body. Very nice car.

37 T Bucket. Had a broken accelerator pedal. So we welded it back together. Body is completely sealed, no doors, fiberglass body. So it's a little difficult to get in and out of. Very light steering and very loud. Open headers on the cammed small block Chevy. Nice car.

15 Ecoboost. MRT turbo back install. Mods: MMR CAI, Steeda strut tower brace, lowered (don't know what), Bama tune, and possibly wheels. Never seen them on a stock one before. Anyway turbo back is 3in into a 2 1/2in Y pipe and 2 1/2in out the tips. It sounds a lot better than stock, and very good for a 4 banger. Deeper and has a strong turbo spool sound to it. Owner plans on a bigger turbo later on. So, we'll probably see the car again for the turbo swap. As for which turbo back system it is, I don't know. The install instructions are not helpful, just says MRT turbo back. Very nice car.
I also got a video of it running if anyone would like to hear it.

Brought them to work today. It was nice out (no rain) and the temp was crazy (high 83). Did a check up on both of them. Roush is for the most part alright. Porsche could use some attention, and it will get it soon. It's a bltch trying to maintain 9 vehicles not including the wrecker. And it's broke again, yay. So everyone has to wait their turn to get fixed. Plus gave the truck the day off today.
On a side note we received another 911 to do some work on today. I didn't get pictures but I'll be going in tomorrow and I'll get them then. It's an 80 911 N/A.
Might as well do an update.
White Porsche is staying for further repairs. Owner was strongly encouraged to address some things, and he is. Thank God.
54 MG is making progress. We rebuilt the carbs and currently in the process of setting timing.
My MG is mostly put back together from a body repair we preformed.
77 corvette is still in progress. I don't have pictures of the car yet. Oddly it's been here for a long time on several occasions. Also waiting on owners approval before pictures go up.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
Update photos will be posted tomorrow!

11 Camaro SS. Came and we did a converter test, it passed. Then scanned the ECU, had a few lean codes, and about 14 tire codes. Has axelbacks, I think flowmaster 40 series, sounds nice. Hopefully, we'll meet up at the cars and coffee this Saturday. I gotta admit I liked this 5th gen. They're growing on me a little. Still hate the visibility though. Still a really nice car.

11 Charger R/T. Put some super 44s on it. It sounded good, but not loud. So after talking with the owner we cut off the resonator and put pipe in. It sounded a lot better than I thought it would. I love the interior in the car; that red looks gorgeous. Very low mileage 4,4XX, and very well taken care of. Definitely a good representation of a muscle sedan. Very nice.

01 Cobra convertible. Unfortunately, it came in for a possible rod knock. Mods I see are exhaust, brakes, tires, and shifter knob. Body is in very good shape and paint is too. The top and interior are decent. We don't see a great deal of mustangs; so it's nice to get a Cobra. Might consider bringing it home if the owner decides to sell it. Nice car.

I truly do not see all the hype in Cobras? Everyone wants to drool over them and I'm just like ehh whatever but that's just me.

One can argue it was the best the new edge had to offer. Yea, the Bullitt and Mach were awesome but the Cobra was the top dog. Same thing with the S197, the Trinity Shelby is the top dog. Yes, a coyote can be modded to beat it; but stock to stock Trinity kills it. Plus the Cobras had the IRS, some like it, some don't. The 4V at the time was a good engine. Obviously it's outdated and obsolete today. Then the Terminators had the 6 speed. The body mods for the cobra really look good. Personally, in the last 25 years, I don't think there's a meaner looking Mustang than the Terminator. Next I'd say is a Trinity Shelby. Most will disagree with this but I'd take a Terminator over a Coyote any day. I just like them better and most Coyote owners I've met have massive egos about that engine. Which it kinda turns me off on getting one.

00 F-550 Lariat Fontaine 4x4. Came in for exhaust repair. So after talking with the owner about the truck I've learned a few things about it is. Not a truck guy so I had no idea what I was looking at. Anyway it has the Fontaine package which includes exterior body kit, suspension upgrades (air ride), and interior upgrades. Owned has also done quite a few modifications himself, includes various powertrain mods. He had the truck weighed and it's at 10,000lbs with no fuel. It has a Dana 130 and 4.88 gears in both. Very nice piece.
